Abstract: Polyamide-based resin expanded beads contain a polyamide-based resin as a base material resin. The beads have a crystal structure, an intrinsic peak of the polyamide-based resin and a high-temperature peak having a peak top temperature on a higher temperature side than a peak top temperature of the intrinsic peak appear in a DSC curve obtained under a predetermined condition; an amount of heat of fusion of the high-temperature peak is within 5 J/g or more and 50 J/g or less; and a coefficient of variation of the amount of heat of fusion of the high-temperature peak is 20% or less. The beads are produced by in-mold molding. A method for producing the beads includes: impregnating a polyamide-based resin; and releasing expandable polyamide-based resin beads from a sealed container, a temperature in the sealed container is raised at a rate of 0.3° C. or higher and 1.5° C. or lower per 10 minutes.

Abstract: A skin material-coated foamed particle molded body includes a skin material made of a polypropylene-based resin molded body and a polypropylene-based resin foamed particle molded body coated with the skin material. The skin material has a multilayer structure including an inner layer adhered to the foamed particle molded body and an outer layer outside the inner layer. The outer layer contains a polypropylene-based resin and a reinforcement fiber. The inner layer contains the polypropylene-based resin and a reinforcement fiber in a lower content ratio than a content ratio of the reinforcement fiber contained in the outer layer or contains the polypropylene-based resin and substantially no reinforcement fiber. An average value of the outer layer thickness ratio to a sum of the outer and inner layer thicknesses is 0.20 or more and 0.65 or less, and a coefficient of variation Cv of the ratio is 30% or less.

Abstract: A method for producing a foamed particle molded article provided with a skin, includes: forming a hollow molded article; filling a hollow part of the hollow molded article with polypropylene-based resin foamed particles; and heating and fusing the particles to each other. A melt elongation at 190° C. of the polypropylene-based resin forming the hollow molded article is 100 m/min or more. A half-crystallization time at 100° C. of the polypropylene-based resin is between 25 to 80 seconds. In heat flux differential scanning calorimetry, a melting peak temperature of the polypropylene-based resin is between 130 to 155° C., a partial heat of fusion at 140° C. or more of the polypropylene-based resin is between 20 to 50 J/g, and a ratio of the partial heat of fusion of the polypropylene-based resin to the total (partial heat of fusion/total heat of fusion) is between 0.2 to 0.8.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a styrene-based resin having a weight average molecular weight Mw′ as determined by the GPC-MALS method of 1,000,000 or more and 5,000,000 or less, a degree of long-chain branching of 0.2 or more per 1,000 styrene units, and a tetrahydrofuran-insoluble matter of 0.1% by weight or less (including 0), the styrene-based resin being free from a component derived from a polyfunctional monomer in a molecular chain thereof. In a method for producing this styrene-based resin, in an impregnation step of adding a polymerization initiator and a styrene monomer in an aqueous medium, thereby impregnating the polymerization initiator and the styrene monomer in the seed particle at a temperature at which polymerization of the styrene monomer does not substantially proceed, the amount of the styrene monomer is 20 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the seed particle; and in an additional impregnation polymerization step of graft polymerizing the styrene monomer on the styrene-based resin, the addition amount of the styrene monomer is 50 to 700 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the seed particle, and the content of the styrene monomer in the seed particle is held at 10% by weight or less.

Abstract: A seat core material of the present invention is a seat core material for vehicle including a thermoplastic resin expanded bead article and a frame member embedded in a peripheral edge portion of the expanded bead article. The frame member includes a front frame part, a rear frame part, and two side frame parts interconnecting the front frame part and the rear frame part. Slits crossing the two side frame parts are formed along a longitudinal direction with continuous parts left intact outside the side frame parts on both ends of the expanded bead article. The slit penetrates or does not penetrate the expanded bead article in a thickness direction. The continuous parts are formed in a curved shape or a bent shape.
