摘要： In a road data frame for displaying road maps, each node/link data record describing a link corresponding to a road part includes link identification information identifying an original link, and auxiliary link identification information used for identifying a plurality of alternative links which substitute for any of the original links in the map data. In a route planning data frame for route planning, each connection record describing the interconnection of nodes also includes corresponding link identification information identifying an original link, and corresponding auxiliary link identification information used for identifying a plurality of alternative links which substitute for any of the original links in the map data. By means of identification information of the original link and auxiliary links, it is facilitated to identify the correlation among links in the road data frame and the route planning data frame having different versions.

摘要： In a global positioning system (GPS)/self-contained combination type navigation system for a vehicle, the GPS navigation data are received by the GPS antenna of the navigation system which are simultaneously transmitted from more than 3 pieces of satellites inclusively. From the GPS navigation data, GPS type velocity data is calculated, whereas self-contained type velocity data is calculated from self-contained type navigation data such as azimuth data and drive-distance data of the vehicle. Only when a difference between the self-contained type velocity data and the GPS type velocity data exceeds a threshold velocity, the GPS type velocity data is voided so as to determine the present position of the vehicle.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a technology capable of estimating a waiting time at an energy refilling facility for each of drive types. A center-side system includes a center-side receiver that receives, from a vehicle-side system, probe vehicle position information and drive type information that is information regarding a drive type of a probe vehicle. Then, the center-side system includes: a traffic condition estimation unit that estimates a traffic condition, which includes a drive type-classified number of vehicles, based on the probe vehicle position information and the drive type information, which are received by the center-side receiver; and a center-side transmitter that transmits, to an outside, the traffic condition estimated by the traffic condition estimation unit.

摘要： An imitation sound generation system is provided that accurately informs a user of a road environment corresponding to a current location, by an imitation sound. A navigation apparatus, which serves as an imitation sound generation system, includes a map data storage apparatus that stores road network data including data regarding links each representing each road in a road network, a vehicle information acquiring unit that acquires a current location, and a travelling road determining unit that specifies a link to which the current location belongs. The map data storage apparatus stores a plurality of pieces of imitation sound data each being associated with each link. A controller determines a piece of imitation sound data that is associated with the link to which the current location belongs, on the basis of the plurality of pieces of imitation sound data.
