摘要: The invention pertains to a method for preparing a composite printing form from a photosensitive element and a carrier using a template. The photosensitive element is located on the carrier by positioning the element through cutout portions in the template. The method is particularly suited for preparing composite printing forms for relief printing, and in particular for preparing composite printing forms for flexographic printing of corrugated substrates.

摘要: A method for coloring a surface of a ceramic mass to produce a colored ceramic body includes providing a host lattice material composed of a colorless metal oxide compound which crystallizes into one of a spinel lattice or a rutile lattice and which may be water soluble; providing an aqueous coloring solution containing water; a first water soluble compound including a metal ion which is one of a two-valent metal ion or a three-valent metal ion and which colors the host lattice material; and a second water soluble compound including a metal ion which is one of a five-valent metal ion or six-valent metal ion and which provides electrostatic balance; generating a mixed-phase pigment in the surface of the ceramic mass by one of (i.) working a fine powder of the colorless metal oxide into the ceramic mass and applying the aqueous coloring solution onto at least one surface of the ceramic mass, or (i.i.) adding a water soluble colorless metal oxide compound to the aqueous coloring solution in an amount effective to form a mixture having a preselected viscosity and applying this mixture to the surface of the ceramic mass; drying the solution; and firing the ceramic body at a temperature ranging from 300 to 1400.degree. C. for a duration ranging from 0.5 to 5 hours.

摘要: A radio pager device includes a display having a zoomed-out multiline mode and a zoomed-in single line mode for display of at least a portion of a series of characters at a time extracted from a message having an address or identification code which is among those from which the pager is authorized to extract message data. The zoom mode is selectable on either a system basis, by default, or a message basis. The message specific zoom mode is determined by accessing display per address information stored in volatile memory and programmable by the user. In the single line mode, continuous horizontal character by character scrolling may be selected by the user and controlled by key actuation to toggle between a stationary paused state and a continuously scrolling state.

摘要: A process for constructing self-aligned electrodes overlying a surface of a semiconductor substrate is disclosed. The process utilizes a substrate which is substantially transparent to infrared radiation. One step of the process includes forming spaced apart ones of the electrodes with a conductive material that is highly absorbtive of infrared radiation. Subsequently, a continuous layer of heat sensitive polymer is formed over and between these spaced apart electrodes. The resulting structure is exposed to infrared radiation which heats the spaced apart electrodes. This heat polymerizes the heat sensitive polymer layer in all regions that directly overlie the spaced apart electrodes. These polymerized regions form a mask that is used to construct other electrodes between and in alignment with the spaced apart electrodes.
