摘要: An ammunition round comprises an optimized projectile incorporating a hardened penetrator and a dual safe-fuze for a medium caliber high rate of fire round packaged into a form factor smaller than currently available multi-purpose rounds. The ammunition round incorporates a hardened segment penetrator followed by a point detonated high explosive warhead that substantially increases the terminal performance against both materiel and personnel targets. The hardened segment penetrator localizes the kinetic, energy of the projectile to increase target penetration prior to the initiation of the high explosive warhead.

摘要: One example is an inverter assembly for converting direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). A DC connector on the inverter assembly is connected to an upper DC bus. A silicon carbide (SiC) heat sink is mounted above the upper DC bus and at least one capacitor is mounted above the SiC heat sink. A lower DC bus is connected to the upper DC bus and a liquid cooled cold-plate cooling unit is positioned between the upper and lower DC busses. SiC half-bridge units are located between the upper DC bus and the cold-plate and between the lower DC bus and the cold-plate. A gate driver unit is located on the upper DC bus above one converter heatsink and another driver located on the lower DC bus below the other converter heatsink. An AC output connector connects the converters to the AC output connecter.

摘要: One example is security device for protecting a remote host device. The security device includes an output connector, an input connector, a data cable with a first end and a second end, a memory buffer and a malware detection logic. The first end of the data cable is connected to the output connector and the second end of the data cable is connected to the remote host device. The remote host device and the security device are physically separated by the data cable. The input connector receives digital data from the peripheral device and the memory buffer stores the digital data. The malware detection logic searches the digital data stored in the memory buffer for malware residing in the digital data. The malware detection logic removes digital data in the memory buffer that is associated with malware.

The pacing information selected in at least one embodiment is based on the individual's heart rate that provides in part a PSI or aPSI, the elapsed time for the activity, and the amount of progress through the activity.

摘要: A fragmentation pattern is formed on a surface of a warhead using an etchant process. An etchant resistance material is coated on an interior surface of the warhead casing. A portion of the etchant resistant material is selectively removed by a directed energy process and an etchant is applied to the exposed portion of the warhead casing surface thereby etching the fragmentation pattern. Alternatively, a protective coating is applied over the entire surface thereby creating the fragmentation pattern.

摘要: A method of permanently affixing tungsten cube fragments to the fragmentation warhead in a convex Claymore mine having a plastic case and a housing. Pieces of predetermined sized structural film adhesive are positioned at temperature 60° F.±5° F., then pressed into the plastic case while pouring tungsten cubes into the case. The cubes are arranged into desired patterns all at temperature 70° F.±2° F. An interface plate and 5 lbs of weight are then placed atop thereof and all are heated in an oven at temperature 205° F.±5° F. for four hours for full cure of a desired product.
