摘要:
In a power converter, a primary coil of a transformer receives an input voltage, and a first terminal of a switch is coupled to the primary coil. An output unit includes a secondary coil of the transformer, and outputs an output voltage to which the input voltage is converted by the transformer. A switching controller receives a feedback voltage corresponding to the output voltage and a sensing voltage corresponding to a current flowing between the first terminal and a second terminal of the switch. The switching controller determines whether to perform an operation of a burst mode based on the feedback voltage. The switching controller generates a control signal by comparing the sensing voltage with a comparison voltage during a first period of the burst mode, generates the control signal by comparing the sensing voltage with a voltage corresponding to the feedback voltage during a second period of the burst mode, and transmits the control signal to a control terminal of the switch.

In a power converter, a primary coil receives an input voltage, and a switch includes a first electrode, a second electrode coupled to the primary coil, and a control electrode. An output unit includes a secondary coil, and outputs an output voltage. The primary coil and the secondary coil form a transformer, and the input voltage is converted to the output voltage by the transformer. A controller receives a sensing voltage corresponding to a switch current flowing between the first electrode and the second electrode of the switch, detects a valley point of a voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode of the switch based on the sensing voltage, and transmits a control signal to the control electrode of the switch in accordance with the valley point,

The present invention relates to a frequency modulation device and a switching mode power supply using the frequency modulation device. To prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI), it is required to slightly vary a switching operation frequency in an SMPS operation. In some embodiments, at least one first signal having a predetermined cycle is generated, a second signal corresponding to a level of a first signal is generated at a turn-off time of a switch, a first reference voltage having at least two different levels is generated according to the second signal, and an oscillator signal for increasing along a first slope during a first period and decreasing along a second slope during a second period between the first reference voltage and a second reference voltage having a level that is different from the first reference voltage is generated.

A converter and a driving method thereof are provided. The converter can determine the output short state of the converter after the soft start is finished by using a detection signal that corresponds to an input signal while a switched is turned on and that corresponds to an output signal while the switch is turned off, so as to convert the input signal into the output signal according to a switching operation of the switch. The converter can determine the overload state of the converter by using a feedback voltage corresponding to the output signal, and terminate the switching operation when the converter is in an output short state or overload state.

The present invention relates to a converter and a driving method thereof. The converter includes a main switch and a switching controller. The switching controller controls on/off of the main switch by using a first voltage corresponding to an output voltage and a first current flowing to the main switch. The switching controller determines a reference count according to the first voltage, and determines a peak value of the first current corresponding to a reference count and a switching frequency of the main switch.

A power control method of a base station in a wireless communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is provided for reducing power consumption by turning off the bias of the power amplifier for the duration of a symbol carrying no user data. The method includes checking scheduling information of radio resources, detecting a symbol carrying no user data, based on the scheduling information, and turning off a bias of the power amplifier for a symbol duration of the symbol carrying no user data. The transmission power control method is capable of reducing power consumption of the base station by turning off the bias of the power amplifier of the base station for the symbol duration in which no user data is transmitted.

Devices and methods related to high-contrast liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are provided. For example, such an electronic device may include an LCD with two liquid crystal alignment layers not symmetric to one another and upper and lower polarizing layers respectively above and below the alignment layers. Light transmittance through the plurality of pixels may increase monotonically with gray scale voltage. The display may operate using a gray scale level 0 voltage higher than a minimum gray scale level 0 voltage capability of the display. Additionally or alternatively, liquid crystal molecular alignment axes of the two alignment layers may be offset from one another by an angle other than a multiple of 180 degrees. Additionally or alternatively, a first polarizing axis of the upper polarizing layer or a second polarizing axis of the lower polarizing layer, or both, may be neither parallel nor perpendicular to one of the liquid crystal molecular alignment axes.
