    摘要: In a collator for use in combination with an electrophotographic copying machine which discharges copies of originals in succession at the same time interval, deflection claws for delivering successive copies of a manuscript into successive bins are provided at inlets of respective bins and two endless belts each having an actuator for driving the deflection claws are provided movably along the successive bins. The two endless belts are driven by two different controlling circuits, respectively in an independent manner. During the copy delivering operation by the first endless belt for a plurality of copies of a certain document, it is possible to initiate the copy delivering operation by the second endless belt for a plurality of copies of the next document.

    摘要: In a process for forming electrophotographically a duplicated copy of a document by modulating a corona ion stream passing through fine apertures of a photosensitive screen in accordance with a primary electrostatic charge latent image formed on the photosensitive screen use is made of the photosensitive screen comprising an electrically conductive sheet-like member having a great number of fine apertures, a photoconductive member applied on at least one side of the conductive member and an electrically insulating member applied on the other side of the conductive member, the conductive member being completely surrounded by the photoconductive and insulating members. An improved process for forming the primary charge latent image on said screen includes a step for subjecting the photosensitive screen to an imagewise exposure corresponding to an image of the document simultaneously with electrostatically charging the screen; and a step for subjecting the photosensitive screen to a uniform exposure to form on the insulating layer of the screen the primary electrostatic charge latent image corresponding to an image of the document to be duplicated and having extremely high electrostatic contrast.

    摘要: A collator includes a series of twenty bins arranged in parallel with each other, a copy feeding member for feeding copies supplied from a copying machine along inlets of the successive bins, first and second deflecting devices arranged at the uppermost two bins for delivering the copies into the uppermost two bins and a distributor movable between the third bin and the twentieth bin for delivering the copies into the bins. The collator can treat the copies in a job separation mode in which all copies of each documents are delivered into respective bins in succession, while the distributor is advanced bin by bin in response to a distributor advance signal produced by a variable timer which is actuated upon detection of the rear edge of the last copy of an Nth original by an entrance switch to set a time period represented by b+(N-1).times.a/V.sub.1, wherein a is a pitch between successive bins, b is a distance from the entrance switch to the first bin and V.sub.1 is a copy feed speed in the collator.

    摘要: A conveyor unit for a book carrier includes a book carrier on which an original having substantial thickness such as a book is placed, and conveys it to an exposure station in order to form an electrostatic latent image of the original in a copying machine. Elements are provided to maintain such drive relationship. In this manner, a book carrier is positively and reliably conveyed.

    摘要: An electrophotographic apparatus for printing or forming at least one copy of a manuscript comprising a manuscript feed mechanism including upper and lower side feed mechanisms arranged above and below a rectilinear manuscript feed path including a slit light exposure portion at which a manuscript image is projected onto a photosensitive drum, said upper side feed mechanism being movable with respect to said slit light exposure portion to define thin and thick manuscript feed paths, respectively. The apparatus further comprises a first movable edge guide for positioning an edge of a sheet manuscript and a second fixedly arranged guide for positioning the edge of the thick manuscript carriage. The first guide is preferably positioned inwardly with respect to the second guide viewed in a widthwise direction of the manuscript.

    摘要: First feed rollers whose speed is variable, second feed rollers intermittently driven and movable in the direction of an insulated wire, a clamp which is movable in the direction of the axis of the wire and can be opened and closed during the interruption of driving by the second feed rollers, insulation cutting and stripping blades which can be opened and closed, a wire guiding device which can be opened and closed, wire cutting blades which can be opened and closed, insulation cutting and stripping blades, and a clamp which is movable along the axis of the wire and may be opened and closed during the interruption of driving by the second feed rollers in the direction of the axis of the wire, are arranged in the order mentioned from the upstream to the downstream side of the path of travel of the insulated wire, with a suitable spacing between adjacent components. The wire guiding device changes from its closed to its opened state from the time a little before a cutting blades group starts its closing operation until the time it completes its closing operation. The same also changes from its opened to its closed state from the time the clamps start their return movement until the time a little before they complete their return movement. The second feed rollers are controlled so that in the opened state of the wire guiding device, they may be moved in timed relation to the clamp on the upstream side. Thus, an efficient operation becomes possible while thoroughly disposing of the chips of insulation, and the insulated wire cut into accurate lengths can be supplied.

    摘要: An electrophotographic apparatus which includes a rotating photosensitive drum on which an electrostatic charge latent image is formed; a developing device for developing the latent image with toners to form a toner image on the drum; a transfer roller for transferring the toner image onto a record paper and arranged movably with respect to the drum; and a record paper detector for detecting a paper jamming to produce a paper jam signal. The rotation of the drum is stopped and the transfer roller is moved away from the photosensitive drum in response to the paper jam signal so as to make it easy to remove the jammed paper, and the transfer roller is moved into an initial operative position after the ddrum has rotated by such an angle that residual toners and electrostatic charge on the drum pass through the transfer roller.
