摘要： A nozzle assembly is provided with a valve to enable the coating of low aspect ratio items such as tablets. In a preferred embodiment a valve is disclosed such that the vacuum forces acting on the surfaces of the valve are equal to the weight of the valve. This balancing of the weight of the valve and the vacuum forces allows gravity to be the primary motive force for actuation. The weight of the valve is used to detect a tablet, such that when a tablet is missing, the valve prevents any coating from being pulled into the nozzle.

摘要： In one embodiment a dosage form comprises at least one active ingredient and a molded matrix which comprises 10-100% of a material having a melting point of less than about 100 degrees C. selected from the stamp consisting of thermoplastic polyalkylene oxides, low melting hydrophobic materials, thermoplastic polymers, thermoplastic starches and combinations thereof, and the matrix is capable of providing modified release of the active ingredient upon contacting of the dosage form with a liquid medium. The dosage form may additionally comprise uncoated particles which may contain at least one active ingredient. In another embodiment, a dosage form comprises at least one active ingredient, a plurality of particles and a molded matrix, wherein at least a portion of the particles are coated. The coated particles, the matrix or both may comprise at least one active ingredient, and the coated particles or the matrix or a combination thereof is capable of providing modified release of the active ingredient upon contacting of the dosage form with a liquid medium.

The apparatus comprises a flexible conveying means on which transfer units adapted to receive the substrates are mounted. The flexible conveying means travels along a path that is coincident with those portions of the tablet press where tablets are ejected.

摘要： A non-through score line is made in the exposed surface of the blister sheet of a blister package. The non-through score line extends from one edge of an individual blister unit to an opposite or adjacent edge, i.e., across the corner of the blister unit. When the blister unit is angulated or flexed back at the non-through score line, the blister sheet will fracture. The smaller portion of the fractured blister sheet, still bonded to a backing sheet, acts as a tab for peeling the backing sheet from the blister sheet exposing the blister contents. Camouflage lines on the blister sheet help hide the score line, thereby rendering the package highly child-resistant.

摘要： A limited entry unit dosage package is provided, which mandates the completion of a sequence of steps to access single unit dosages within depressions on the package. The user grips a trapezoidal section of an access tab to expose a finger depression. The user thereafter grips a cover overlying a depression which contains the unit dosage form. This cover is pulled back thereby exposing the unit dosage. This unit dosage is sealed from access by children, as well as sealed from air and liquids.
