摘要： An apparatus is provided for delivering single-dose packages sequentially from a substantially continuous strip having a first dispensing end and a second end. The strip includes a cover layer attached to a base layer to define a plurality of blisters therebetween that have one or more medications therein. The blisters are aligned in single file generally along the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends and/or otherwise arranged in single-dose packages adjacent one another, e.g., at least some of the single-dose packages including a plurality of blisters having different types of medications therein. A first single-dose package at the first dispensing end may be separable from a second adjacent single-dose package such that individual single-dose packages may be removed successively from the first dispensing end.

摘要： Embodiments of a blister sheet used to manage prescription pills are described herein and include a plurality of spaced-apart cavities, each surrounded by a flange on an open side of each cavity. The flanges together defining a top surface of the blister sheet. Two adjacent cavities are attached by adjacent sides of their respective flanges. Each of the adjacent sides having two longitudinal ends, each having a notch. When a sealing sheet is secured onto the top surface, the notches define unattached portions of the sealing sheet that can be used to grip onto the sealing sheet for its detachment from the top surface. The flanges of two adjacent individual blisters are joined by a tearing line that is weaker at the longitudinal ends thereof.

摘要： Disclosed is an improved sealing sheet for use to close a container-defining sheet having a top surface comprising a given number of spaced apart cavities embossed therein, each of the cavities being upwardly opened and thus defining a container that is surrounded by a flange that is part of the top surface of the container-defining sheet. This improved sealing sheet has a top layer with tearing lines punched therein in such a manner and position as to extend from one side of each cover piece that may be splitted from the sealing sheet to cover one of the cavities in line with opposite sides of a bottom piece left on the corresponding cover piece. Such facilitates peeling of the bottom piece and of the corresponding part of the cover piece from the corresponding container to have access to the element(s) stored in it while preventing glue to be left on the flanges that surround the top opening of the container since such flanges are then still covered by non splitted parts of the sealing sheet.

The dispenser comprises a dispenser cover having an opening through which a patient accesses the medication dose presented through the opening and a carousel for receiving the tray insert. The tray insert comprises a substrate, a plurality of medication retention areas in the substrate each for holding at least one medication dose, each medication retention area received within a depression of the carousel and a cover removably affixed to an upper surface of the substrate for retaining the medication doses in the medication retention areas prior to use, wherein after the tray insert is mated with the carousel the cover.
