摘要: A media player may read three-dimensional (3D) video data comprising a plurality of view sequences of frames or fields from a media storage device, and may decimate one or more of the view sequences to enable transferring the video data to a display device. The media player may determine operational parameter(s) and/or transfer limitation(s) of a connecting subsystem used to transfer the video data to the display device. The decimation may be performed based on this determination of transfer limitation(s). The decimation may be performed temporally and/or spatially. The plurality of view sequences may comprise sequences of stereoscopic left and right view reference frames or fields. The decimation may be performed such that the removed data for each view sequence may be reconstructed, after reception, based on remaining data in the same view sequence and/or video data of other corresponding view sequences.

摘要: A method and/or system are described for providing complete Internet anywhere with partial server processing in which a request may be sent from a set-top-box (STB) to a server communicatively coupled with the STB to process a portion of a web page that is unsupported by a web browser running on the STB. The STB may receive a data stream from the server, wherein the server generates the data stream by processing the unsupported portion of the web page. The web page may be composited in the web browser based on the received data stream. The server may be located in a server computing cloud or may be a local server. The unsupported portion of the web page may comprise a binary plug-in. A supported portion of the web page may be rendered before or concurrently with the overlaying of the data stream during compositing.

摘要: A sequential pattern comprising contiguous black frames inserted between left and right 3D video and/or graphics frames may be displayed on an LCD display. The pattern may comprise two or three contiguous left frames followed by contiguous black frames followed by two or three contiguous right frames followed by contiguous black frames. The left and/or right frames may comprise interpolated frames and/or may be displayed in ascending order. The contiguous black frames are displayed longer than liquid crystal response time. 3D shutter glasses are synchronized with the black frames. A left lens transmits light when left frames followed by contiguous black frames are displayed and a right lens transmits light when right frames followed by contiguous black frames are displayed. A 3D pair of 24 Hz frames or two 3D pairs of 60 Hz frames per pattern are displayed on a 240 Hz display.

摘要: A video transmitter identifies regions in pictures in a compressed three-dimensional (3D) video comprising a base view video and an enhancement view video. The identified regions are not referenced by other pictures in the compressed 3D video. The identified regions are watermarked. Pictures such as a high layer picture in the base view video and the enhancement view video are identified for watermarking. The identified regions in the base view and/or enhancement view videos are watermarked and multiplexed into a transport stream for transmission. An intended video receiver extracts the base view video, the enhancement view video and corresponding watermark data from the received transport stream. The corresponding extracted watermark data are synchronized with the extracted base view video and the extracted enhancement view video, respectively, for watermark insertion. The resulting base view and enhancement view videos are decoded into a left view video and a right view video, respectively.

摘要: Aspects of a method and system for mitigating interference between a plurality of femtocells utilizing transmission deferral are provided. In this regard, prior to transmission of cellular signals by a femtocell, the femtocell may be operable to detect signals that interfere with cellular communications between the femtocell, one or more base stations, and a cellular enabled communication device that communicates with the femtocell. The femtocell may be operable to defer transmission of the cellular signals for a particular period of time based on the detected interfering signals. During transmission of cellular signals from the femtocell to a cellular enabled communication device, the femtocell may be operable to detect loss of one or more packets of data. The femtocell may be operable to defer transmission of the cellular signals for a particular period of time based on the detected loss of one or more packets of data.

摘要: A technique to identify and characterize meta-data associated with an original content that is being transferred from a source to a renderer in a home network, in which the original content is to be rendered by the renderer. Instead of making available for rendering the original content, an alternate content for delivery to the renderer is located, wherein the alternate content is identified by associating the alternate content to the original content via characterization of the meta-data. Then, the alternate content is rendered instead of the original content or rendered in addition to the original content.

摘要: Certain aspects of a method and system for adaptive temporal interpolation filtering for motion compensation may include computing a plurality of weights for adaptively adjusting one or more parameters of a plurality of linear filters utilized for motion compensation. One or more motion compensated output pictures may be generated based on vector median filtering a plurality of linear filtered output pictures generated by the plurality of linear filters. In instances where two frames are utilized for motion estimation of a video sequence, a motion compensated picture of a previous frame and a motion compensated picture of a current frame may be combined to adaptively compute the subsequent weights. In instances where three or more frames are utilized for motion estimation of a video sequence, the generated one or more motion compensated output pictures may be combined with an extracted desired picture from the video sequence to adaptively compute the subsequent weights.

摘要: Aspects of a method and system for processing audio and video transport may comprise synchronizing streams with associated program content based on 24-bit presentation time stamps (PTSs) and 32-bit system clock samples (SCSs) field without using decoding time stamps (DTSs). A PTS field may be provided as part of a packetized elementary stream (PES) packet syntax. An SCS field may be provided as part of a transport stream (TS) syntax. A system clock (STC) may be determined from received SCS values. Video and/or audio data may be decoded as soon as they arrive and when there is at least one display and/or presentation frame buffer available. The video and/or audio data may be presented for display and/or play based on a comparison of the PTS and STC values. When a frame does not have an associated PTS, a PTS extrapolation operation may generate an extrapolated PTS value from previously received PTSs.
