Abstract: Systems and methods for summarizing captions, configuring playback speed, and rewriting the caption file for a media asset are disclosed. The system determines whether to display the original captions or a summarized version of the captions, which are based on user's language proficiency level, reading pace, and historical data, and can be generated either on-demand or automatically when rewinds and pauses are detected. The caption file which includes the original captions can be rewritten. The system determines whether to stream a caption or a rewritten file to a media device based on user or system selections. In the absence of a caption file, or when the caption file cannot be summarized, the playback speed of the media asset is slowed down to provide additional reading time to the user.

Abstract: A method includes that a media asset server receives an identifier and a new-language file of a target video and converts the new-language file into a new-language medium file. The media asset server finds a first index file based on the identifier of the target video, and obtains a second index file based on a storage address of the new-language medium file on the media asset server. The media asset server sends the new-language medium file and the second index file to a content delivery server. The content delivery server replaces the storage address of the new-language medium file on the media asset server in the second index file with a storage address of the new-language medium file on the content delivery server to obtain a third index file. The content delivery server generates a first URL of the target video.

Abstract: A method of communication applied in a mobile terminal for projecting a file or content onto a display device through a set-top box (STB). The mobile terminal sends a request packet for requesting or triggering the STB to generate and display first identification information in a display area. When the first identification information displayed is scanned, and second identification information, should be identical to or should correspond to the first identification information, is generated by the STB. A comparison between the first identification information and the second identification information establishes authenticity and thus the identity of the sending mobile terminal, and the file or the content in the mobile terminal is then projected onto the display area of the correct display device through the STB. A second communication method, a mobile terminal, and a set-top box are also disclosed.

Abstract: A video element of a browser can be moved, resized, etc. independently of the remainder of a browser page. In one embodiment, as the video element is moved, the remainder of the browser page is reformatted so as to change the page's layout. The renderer of the content can have a different video provider sourcing the video element than the remainder of the browser page. As a result, two different content streams can be provided to the renderer in parallel. In another embodiment, the video element can be docked, such as through a flick operation or a drag-and-drop operation. Once docked, the browser page can be scrolled while the docked video element remains at a fixed location relative to an edge of the browser page.

Abstract: A broadcast signal reception method and a reception system are provided. The reception system includes a first processor, a second processor, and a storage medium. The first processor receives and processes a signaling table, the signaling table comprising first signaling information including access information of Non-Real-Time (NRT) service data and second signaling information including media object association information of the NRT service data. The second processor receives the NRT service data and processes a file including the received NRT service data based on the access information and the media object association information processed by the first processor.
