摘要： A method for manufacturing cards decorated with embroidered fabrics is provided. Various kinds of drawings are embroidered on a fabric with threads of different colors. Firstly, a paper is cut into a shape of a long rectangle which is divided into three equal sections and one of which, the first section, has a window at the center therefore and three trapezoidal wings are formed along the three edges thereof, to one end of the short side of the rectangle, opposite to the first section, is connected a distorted trapezoid along the bottom side of which one trapezoid wing is developed. The first sheet of card stock is folded into four portions. A part of the first portion of the card stock, the frame, is cut out of various shapes. The embroidered fabric is cut into a certain size and adhered to the rear side of the frame with hand. The front side of the paper frame is decorated with various kinds of paintings, pictures, phrases and emblems.

摘要： An air bearing burnish slider burnishes very small asperities and cleans the loose particles that adhere to the magnetic recording media. The slider applies a controllable contact force to effectively burnish disk asperities or partially attached particles. In addition, the slider cleans the loose particles effectively while flying in a stable fashion. In a low pitch design, diagonal rails push particles away from the disk surface and trailing edge pads contact the disk at lower linear velocities. Rail pads retain loose contamination and debris in their pockets and burnish asperities. Another design provides a milder burnish force and flies in a high pitch configuration. The trailing edge pads provide stable contacts and the rails help in sweeping away debris. In both designs, the contact forces can be controlled by adjusting linear velocities. A step taper at the leading edge provides a pitch-producing lift force.

摘要： A method for reconfiguring a ring of nodes connected by a working fiber and a protection fiber upon disruption of the signal in either the working fiber or the protection fiber includes signaling the other nodes. Each node determines whether it is a node adjacent to the disruption. Those nodes that are not adjacent to the disruption undergo no change in their operation. A receiving node adjacent to the disruption forms a bridge isolating the disruption and sends an acknowledgement signal back to a signaling node. Upon receipt of the acknowledgement signal, the signaling node also forms a bridge. This results in the isolation of that portion of the ring having a disruption and the formation of a new ring.
