Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for preparing a thin film having alternating monolayers of a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer and an organic monolayer by layer-by-layer growth. The process comprises the steps of: (1) applying onto a surface of a substrate a first linker compound to produce a primer layer; (2) applying onto said primer layer a layer of a metal-metal bonded complex to produce a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer on said primer layer; (3) applying onto said metal-metal bonded complex monolayer a second linker compound; and optionally (4) sequentially repeating steps (2) and (3) at least once to produce said layer-by-layer grown thin film having alternating monolayers of a metal-metal bonded complex monolayer and an organic monolayer.
Abstract:
An apparatus for operating a device such as a self-closing internal valve is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing assembly having an internal chamber, a fluid inlet in fluid communication with the internal chamber, and an actuator stem extending from the housing assembly. The actuator stem is moveable in response to the addition or removal of a fluid into or out of the internal chamber. To control the flow rate of a fluid into and out of the internal chamber, the apparatus includes a fluid control valve in fluid communication with the fluid inlet of the housing assembly, wherein the fluid control valve is adapted to restrict the rate of fluid flow into the internal chamber of the housing assembly.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a capsular endoscope device with an orientation/release mechanism. The capsular endoscope device of the present invention has a casing with the front end thereof having a hose, and the front end of the hose has a capsular-endoscope control device, which a capsular endoscope can be attached to. A deflection control device, which is installed to the casing, is used to deflect the capsular-endoscope control device so that the capsular endoscope will be moved to have an elevation angle. A rotation/release control device, which is installed inside the casing, is used to rotate the capsular-endoscope control device so that the capsular endoscope will be rotated also. The rotation/release control device can also release the capsular endoscope from the capsular-endoscope control device. Therefore, the capsular endoscope device with an orientation/release mechanism proposed by the present invention can enable the user to control the orientation of the camera lens of the capsular endoscope to fully inspect the tissue inside a human body cavity.
Abstract:
A ring mechanism for retaining loose-leaf pages comprises a housing and ring members for holding loose-leaf pages that are moveable relative to the housing between an open and closed position. An actuation system moves the ring members and includes hinge plates pivotally mounted on the housing and a lever actuating pivoting movement of the hinge plates in at least one direction (e.g., moving the hinge plates and ring members to the open position). The lever is connected to a travel bar that moves lengthwise of the housing between a position blocking pivoting movement of the hinge plates and a position allowing pivoting movement of the hinge plates. At least one of the lever and the hinge plates deforms when the lever moves to delay pivoting movement of the hinge plates so that the lever may move the travel bar so that it does not block movement of the hinge plates.
Abstract:
A constant current source with threshold voltage and channel length modulation comprises a set of cascade transistors and a compensation circuit electrically connected to the set of cascade transistors so as to form a feedback circuit, in which the set of cascade transistors including a first MOS transistor and a second MOS transistor, and the compensation circuit comprises a third MOS transistor, a fourth MOS transistor, a sixth MOS transistor and a seventh MOS transistor. The gate terminal of the third MOS transistor is connected to the gate terminal of the second MOS transistor. The fourth MOS transistor is connected to the third MOS transistor in serial, and the gate terminal of the fourth MOS transistor is connected to the gate terminal of the first MOS transistor, and the second terminal of the fourth MOS transistor is connected to a current-supplying circuit. The gate terminals of the sixth and seventh MOS transistors are electrically connected to the current-supplying circuit, and a current is generated by mirroring flows through the third MOS transistor.
Abstract:
Novel heteroleptic iridium carbene complexes are provided, which contain phenyl imidazole moieties. In particular, ligands containing 2,4,6-trisubstituted N-phenyl imidazole fragments have highly desirable properties that make them suitable materials for use in OLED devices.
Abstract:
A new class of compounds containing aza-dibenzothiophene or aza-dibenzofuran are provided. The compounds may be used in organic light emitting devices giving improved stability, improved efficiency, long lifetime and low operational voltage. In particular, the compounds may be used as the host material of an emissive layer having a host and an emissive dopant, or as a material in an enhancement layer.
Abstract:
Novel heteroleptic iridium carbene complexes are provided, which contain at least two different carbene ligands. Selective substitution of the carbene ligands provides for phosphorescent compounds hat are suitable for use in a variety of OLED devices.
Abstract:
An organic light emitting device having an anode, a cathode and an organic layer disposed between the anode and the cathode is provided. In one aspect, the organic layer may be an emissive layer comprising one of the following compounds:
Abstract:
Internal valve apparatus are described. An example internal valve includes a body having a valve seat disposed in a fluid flow passageway between an inlet and an outlet. A flow control member is operatively coupled to the body and movable between a first position to engage the valve seat to restrict fluid flow through the valve and a second position to move away from the valve seat to allow fluid flow through the valve. A removable actuator is coupled to the body and operatively coupled to the flow control member to cause the flow control member to move between the first and second positions. A portion of the removable actuator is cantilevered in the fluid flow passageway between the inlet and the outlet when the removable actuator is coupled to the body.
