    摘要: The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display including a pixel electrode including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode spaced apart with a gap therebetween, a common electrode facing the pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer formed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode and including a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. The first and second subpixel electrodes include a plurality of branches, and each of the first and second subpixel electrodes includes a plurality of subregions. The branches extend in different directions in different subregions.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display includes a substrate, a pixel electrode disposed on the substrate and including a first subpixel electrode and a second subpixel electrode, and a common electrode facing the pixel electrode. The first subpixel electrode comprises a first edge, a second edge disposed opposite the first edge, and two first oblique edges substantially parallel to each other, the first oblique edges making an oblique angle with the first edge and the second edge and meeting the first edge. The second subpixel electrode comprises a first edge, a second edge disposed opposite the first edge, and two first oblique edges substantially parallel to or substantially perpendicular to the first oblique edges of the first subpixel electrode, the first oblique edges of the second subpixel electrode meeting the first edge of the second subpixel electrode. The first edge of the first subpixel electrode is adjacent to the first edge of the second subpixel electrode, and a length of the first edge of the first subpixel electrode is different from a length of the first edge of the second subpixel electrode. The first oblique edges of the first subpixel electrode are offset from the first oblique edges of the second subpixel electrode.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing an active matrix substrate is presented. The method includes forming a transistor having a gate line, a semiconductor layer, an insulating layer between the gate line and the semiconductor layer, a source electrode, and a drain electrode; forming a pixel electrode comprising a first sub-pixel electrode and a second sub-pixel electrode; forming an auxiliary coupling electrode connected to the second sub-pixel electrode through a first contact hole; and forming the first sub-pixel electrode through a second contact hole connected to the drain electrode of the transistor. The auxiliary coupling electrode and the first sub-pixel electrode overlap each other such that the second sub-pixel electrode is capacitively coupled to the first sub-pixel electrode and the auxiliary coupling electrode and the electrode part form a capacitor.

The light-blocking layer includes a source electrode pattern portion including a first electrode portion, a second electrode portion and a third electrode portion, and a drain electrode pattern portion disposed between the second electrode portion and the third electrode portion. The halftone layer includes a halftone portion corresponding to a spaced-apart portion between the source electrode pattern portion and the drain electrode pattern portion, and a dummy halftone portion more protrusive than ends of the second electrode portion and the third electrode portion. Thus, a photoresist pattern corresponding to a channel portion of a thin film transistor (TFT) may be formed with a uniform thickness, to thereby prevent an excessive etching of the channel portion.

    摘要: A display substrate includes a gate line, a gate insulating layer, a data line, a thin-film transistor (TFT), a storage line, a passivation layer, a color filter layer, a pixel electrode, a first light-blocking layer and a second light-blocking layer. The storage line includes the same material as the gate line. The passivation layer covers the data line. The color filter layer is formed on the passivation layer. The pixel electrode is formed on the color filter layer in each pixel. The first light-blocking layer is formed between adjacent pixel electrodes, and includes the same material as the gate line. The second light-blocking layer is formed between the first light-blocking layer, and includes the same material as the data line. Therefore, an aperture ratio may be increased.
