A control module 602 is activated on a computer 200 in response to an event and enters 818 a standby state if the computer 200 is not already 814 in the standby state.     摘要: Apparatus, systems, and methods provide digital voice call redirection. A configuration module associates a phone number with a first identifier of a first voice terminal device and a second identifier of a second voice terminal device provided by an address module. A location module determines whether the first device is within a predefined proximity to the second device, such as by detecting connectivity between the devices, over a personal area network (“PAN”). A routing module redirects a digital voice call to a call module of the first device using the first identifier when the first device is not within the predefined proximity to the second device. Otherwise the routing module directs the call to a call module of the second device using the second identifier.

    摘要: To unlock a HDD when a computer is in the suspend state, at both BIOS and the HDD a secret is combined with a password to render a new one-time password. BIOS sends its new one-time password to the HDD which unlocks itself only if a match is found. The new one-time password is then saved as an “old” password for subsequent combination with the secret when coming out of subsequent suspend states. In this way, if a computer is stolen the thief cannot sniff the bus between BIOS and the HDD to obtain a password that is of any use once the computer ever re-enters the suspend state.

    摘要: An apparatus, method, and system to seal a data repository to a trusted computing platform is described. The data repository may be sealed by encrypting the data on the repository and sealing a cryptographic key to a specific set of platform resources. With the data repository sealed to the platform, the system boot sequence will fail if the system configuration is compromised, for example by insertion of “snoopware” or a modified BIOS. Additionally, if the computer containing the data repository is lost or stolen, the encrypted data remains secure even if the repository is attached to a system modified to bypass normal safeguards.

    摘要: A method, system, and program product for enabling administrative recovery of a user's lost/forgotten boot-up passwords without compromising the administrative/master password(s). A restricted-use password is dynamically generated from a first hash of a random number generated on a client system and a secret retrieved from a secure device associated with the client system. The restricted-use password operates as a master password but is not the administrative password of the client system. Once the password is generated, it is provided to the user/client system to enable user access to said client system and hardfile and reset of the user passwords.

    摘要: A method and system is described for selectively downloading antidotes onto a client computer. The client computer is connected via a network interface card (NIC) to a network that contains an anti-virus server. The NIC is initially logically isolated from the client computer, thus permitting the NIC to autonomously examine packets to and from the client computer and the network. The NIC selectively accepts packets only from trusted Internet Protocol (IP) addresses that conform to a security format such as Internet Protocol Security (IPSec).
