A composition for shrinkable film which excells in heat-sealability, transparency, strength, and particularly low-temperature quick shrinking property and, therefore, suits production chiefly of packaging materials, a film made of the composition and a process for the manufacture of the film are disclosed. Specifically, the composition comprises one of the specific combinations of components (A), (B) and (C), i.e. the combinations of (A)+(B), (B)+(C) and (A)+(B)+(C), wherein (A) is non-rigid polyolefine resins such as ethylene vinyl acetate, (B) is an elastomer comprising a specific ethylene- .alpha.-olefin copolymer and an elastomer consisting of block copolymer having at least one monovinyl substituted aromatic hydrocarbon polymer block and at least one polyolefin polymer block selected from at least one saturated polymer or unsaturated polymer made from mainly aliphatic conjugate diene derivative, and (C) is rigid polyolefin resins such as polypropylene. The packaging film excelling particularly in optical property, mechanical strength and low-temperature shrinking property is obtained by converting a homogenenous blend of the aforementioned composition, either in its crosslinked form or in its non-crosslinked form, into a tubular raw film, which is stretched at a temperature low enough for imparting a high orientation to the film. The process for the manufacture of this packaging film is also disclosed.

Because of its specific stratal construction which is highly adaptable to afford a wide variety of specific functions, the composite film is suitable for manufacture of thermally shrinkable films which excel in transparency and in ability to shrink rapidly particularly at low temperatures. Also disclosed is a process for drawing at specific low temperatures at high expansion ratios the aforementioned multiplicity of resin layers either all by themselves or in conjunction with layers of other resins by utilizing the cold drawability of the aforementioned resin layers excelling in mechanical strength.

Disclosed is a lightweight aluminum based alloy that is high in strength and elongation properties at high temperatures of around 200° C. to 300° C. and has excellent workability in hot working. Disclosed also is a heat-resistant aluminum based alloy excellent in wear resistance and rigidity. Specifically, an aluminum based alloy contains, in terms of percent by mass, 5% to 10% of Mn; 0.5% to 5% of V; 0.5% to 5% of Cr; 0.5% to 5% of Fe; 1% to 8% of Si; 0.5% to 5% of Ni, with the balance being aluminum and inevitable impurities. The aluminum based alloy has a structure including 35 to 80 percent by volume of an intermetallic compound phase with the balance being an aluminum metal matrix.

A colorant composition for skin cosmetics of the present invention is characterized in that the colorant composition, which contains nonwhite coloring materials, does not contain a high refractive index white pigment, and when the spectral reflectance of the colorant composition is measured under the below-described measurement conditions, the minimum spectral reflectance on the white ground in the wavelength range of 630-700 nm is 75% or higher, and the Y value on the white ground is in the range of 25-65 (Measurement conditions) A colorant composition is dispersed in nitrocellulose lacquer, the concentration of the colorant composition is adjusted so that the spectral reflectance on the white ground of a black and white hiding test paper at the wavelength of 400 nm is 10±2%, a black and white hiding test paper is coated with an applicator having a 0.101 mm clearance, and the spectral reflectance is measured with a spectrocolorimeter.

The present invention provides a steel wire rod or bar which exhibits good cold deformability even though it does not undergo spheroidizing annealing after hot rolling. The steel wire rod or bar with good cold deformability is characterized in that its ferrite structure contains no less than 25 nitride and carbide particles in a mixed state or composite state per 25 &mgr;m on average in a sectional area three-fourths of the diameter within the circumference of the rod or bar. Such nitride and carbide precipitates contribute to the reduction of flow stress at temperatures raised by heat generation at the time of cold deforming.
