    摘要: Antiskid hydraulic braking system comprising a first shutoff valve operable to shutoff hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder to wheel cylinder as the brakes tend to lock the wheels of a vehicle. Wheel cylinders are connected to a reservoir through a second shutoff valve which relieves hydraulic pressure at the wheel cylinders until the tendency toward wheel lock disappears. The system further comprises an intermittently operable high speed hydraulic pump, such as a piezoelectric pump, which serves to pump the brake fluid in the reservoir to the wheel cylinders to restore hydraulic pressure in the wheel cylinders. The piezoelectric pump comprises a pump plunger having a small diameter head defining a pumping chamber and a large diameter base defining a delivery or pressure chamber. The brake fluid under pressure in the delivery chamber acts upon the plunger base to hydraulically preload the piezoelectric elements.

    摘要: In a fog detecting apparatus with optoelectronic system, comprising infrared-emitting means and infrared-receiving means, is provided means for adjusting a reference which is compared with a voltage value of a detecting signal generated according to an electrical signal produced by the infrared-receiving means in order to distinguish whether a windshield of a vehicle is in the fogging condition or not. The reference is changed according to the detecting signal which is produced when the windshield is in good condition against the fogging after a fog removing apparatus has been actuated to remove the fog attached on the windshield, so that the fogging condition is detected in accuracy independently of the contamination of the optoelectronic system or the like.

    摘要: A mass flowmeter has a vortex generator for shedding a Karman vortex street downstream of the vortex generator positioned inside a duct for guiding a fluid. The vortex generator comprises a stationary member and a movable member which is displaceable in relation to the stationary member. The movable member is displaced by the expanding or contracting of bellows in response to changes in pressure and temperature of the fluid to thereby vary the characteristic dimension of the vortex generator. The Karman vortex shedding frequency of the vortex generator is measured by a heat-wire type sensor.

    摘要: An automotive wiper control apparatus has an infrared emitting unit outside an occupant compartment, a photodetector unit inside the compartment in optical alignment with the infrared emitting unit, and an electric control for automatically controlling the wiper operation in dependence on the state in which infrared rays emitted by the infrared emitting unit through a predetermined area of the windshield are received by the photodetector unit. The photodetector unit has an infrared transmission plate formed of an infrared transmissive material and carrying infrared shielding layers applied in a striped pattern to one surface of the plate. The infrared transmission plate is disposed in front of a plurality of photodetectors so that a contrast is produced on the photodetectors by the infrared rays passing through the uncoated zones of the plate which are free from the infrared shielding layers. The contrast is varied with variation in the quantity of raindrops on the predetermined area of the windshield. The electrical control is responsive to the variation in the contrast to automatically control speed of wiper operation as well as intervals of intermittent wiper operations.
