The lithographic printing plate support can be used to obtain a presensitized plate, which exhibits both an excellent scumming resistance and a particularly long press life when being made into a lithographic printing plate.

The lithographic printing plate support includes an aluminum plate, and an aluminum anodized film formed thereon and having micropores which extend in a depth direction of the anodized film from a surface of the anodized film opposite from the aluminum plate. Each micropore has a large-diameter portion which extends to a depth of 5 to 60 nm (depth A) from the anodized film surface, and a small-diameter portion which communicates with the bottom of the large-diameter portion, further extends to a depth of 900 to 2,000 nm from the communication position and has a predetermined average diameter.

    摘要: A support for a planographic printing plate support in which variations in the quality of the material of the aluminum support are reduced to thereby improve the yield in an electrolytic graining treatment and which is excellent in susceptibility to graining, has no stripe irregularities, and excellent appearance, and a method for producing such a planographic printing plate. An aluminum plate material is formed through a twin-roller continuous casting apparatus and subjected to cold rolling. Successively, the plate is subjected to heat treatment so as to form a surface portion of a depth of at least 15 .mu.m in the thickness direction having no recrystallization in the surface layer. If necessary, the plate may be subjected to cold rolling again as final rolling. Thereafter, the plate is subjected to correction.
