A method for fabricating a disc stamper is provided. First, a substrate is provided. Next, a layer of a coatable inorganic material is coated on the substrate, wherein the coatable inorganic material is an oxide, in which the chemical element constitution is more than one element selected from the group consisting of Te, Al, Zr, and Ti. Next, a laser beam is utilized to perform direct write on the layer of the coatable inorganic material to form a relief pattern. Thereafter, a metal layer is electroplated on the relief pattern. Next, the metal layer is separated from the relief pattern. The layer of the coatable inorganic material is utilized to form the relief pattern, so that it is more compatibility to equipment apparatus and lower cost in contrast with sputtered PTM process.

A lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a water-resistant support having provided thereon a light-sensitive layer containing fine titanium oxide grains doped with a metallic ion which absorb a visible ray and a complex composed of an organo-metallic polymer which is formed by a hydrolysis polymerization condensation reaction of a compound represented by formula (I) shown below and an organic polymer which has a group capable of forming a hydrogen bond with the organo-metallic polymer: (R0)nM(Y)x−n (I) wherein R0 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group; Y represents a reactive group; M represents a metallic atom having from 3 to 6 valences; x represents a valence of the metallic atom M; and n represents 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, provided that the balance of x−n is not less than 2. Disclosed is a process for producing a titanium dioxide pigment used for a resin-coated paper type photographic support, comprising the following steps:(a) a step of adding at least one alkaline earth metal compound in an amount of 0.01-2.0% by weight in terms of a metal oxide based on the titanium dioxide before calcination step and(b) an acid-washing step of washing the titanium dioxide at acidic state after the calcination step and before a step of surface treatment with a hydrated metal oxide,and wherein particle size of the titanium dioxide pigment is 0.110-0.150 .mu.m shown by number-average diameter obtained by measuring the diameter in a certain direction using an electron microscope. A photographic support which comprises the above titanium dioxide pigment is also disclosed. Occurrence of die lip stain and microgrit are substantially reduced in the photographic support and a photographic material made thereof exhibits improved image sharpness.

The cable is characterized by the fact that said outer layer (14) is also modifiable in color by a second type of laser without being destroyed in thickness, thereby providing a second possible method of marking.
