摘要: An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus records information on and/or reproduces information from an optical recording medium based on a reflected light beam from the optical recording medium. The apparatus includes a light splitting part having a plurality of light splitting stages which split the reflected light beam from the optical recording medium into a plurality of light beams, and a photodetector unit including a plurality of photodetectors which receive the plurality of light beams from the light splitting part. The photodetector unit includes a plurality of photodetectors which receive light beams used to detect a focal error, at least one photodetector which receives a light beam used to detect a tracking error, and a plurality of photodetectors which receive light beams used to detect magneto-optic information recorded on the optical recording medium.

摘要: A hologram recorder/player includes recording beam modulation controller which causes a spatial light modulator to modulate the recording beam in such a way that a hologram is recorded in a plurality of blocks in a unit recording region and that each of the blocks includes recording information (DATA) and error correction code, at a time of recording. The hologram recorder/player includes incident angle variable controller which varies a reference beam incident angle to a plurality of predetermined angles with respect to the unit recording region. The recording beam modulation controller causes the modulation of the recording beam in such a way that a different hologram is generated for a page each time the reference beam incident angle is varied and that the hologram in each page is recorded in a plurality of the blocks.

摘要: A hologram recorder (A) which records holograms by causing a recording beam (P) and a reference beam (S) to interfere with each other in a hologram recording media (B), includes an incident-side and an emitting-side lenses (3a, 3b) provided as a compound lens disposed in a laser beam path between a light source (1) and a beam separator (7); and an aperture stop (5) provided to limit a light flux diameter between the incident-side and emitting-side lenses (3a, 3b). The aperture stop (5) is disposed at a position biased toward the incident-side lens (3a) as viewed from an incident-side focal position of the emitting-side lens (3b).

摘要: The invention is a recording and reproducing apparatus for recording data on a recording medium having a holographic recording area and a buffer recording area. 摘要: A hologram recording apparatus for recording a hologram by dividing light from a light source into recording light and reference light through a spatial light modulator, and emitting the recording light and reference light through the same objective lens onto a hologram recording medium; wherein the spatial light modulator has a light modulating region including a plurality of pixels; the light modulating region is divided into a central pixel region where a part of the light from the light source is led to the objective lens as the recording light, and a peripheral pixel region where the rest or another part of the light is led to the objective lens as the reference light; and a plurality of pixels included in the peripheral pixel region includes larger pixels than a plurality of pixels included in the central pixel region.

摘要: An optical head includes a lens carrier movable at least radially of a magneto-optical disk in facing relation thereto. An object lens is mounted on the lens carrier to converge a laser beam for forming a laser spot on the disk. The object lens has an optical axis and includes a lens surface directed toward the disk. A patterned coil is formed on the lens surface at least in one layer and has a light-passing opening corresponding to the optical axis of the object lens. A light-pervious layer is formed on the lens surface for closing the light-passing opening of the coil.
