摘要： The present invention is designed to make uniform frequencies with which individual recording elements of a multihead are used in a recording apparatus for performing gray scale recording by controlling a number of dots recorded in a unit area. A gray scale pattern used to display gray scale is a pattern in which a plurality of blocks each comprising a dot concentration type gray scale pattern having a size smaller than that of the gray scale pattern is dispersed. The maximum difference between numbers of times the recording elements in the range of the gray scale pattern are used can be restricted within twice, and individual nozzles can be used uniformly. Consequently, imbalance of changes in the recording elements with time, caused by the differences between the frequencies with which the recording elements are used, can be restricted, thus restricting irregularities on an image.

摘要： An ink jet color recording method forms a multi-color image on a single recording medium using a monochrome recording apparatus, which includes a mounting portion for detachably mounting an ink recording head for recording by ejecting a monochrome ink, a feed unit for feeding the recording medium, and a discharge unit for discharging the recording medium. First recording information is supplied to a first ink recording head, attached to the mounting portion, for ejecting a first ink, recording is performed using the first ink on the recording medium fed to the recording region by the feed unit, and the recording medium is discharged by the discharge unit. Next, second recording information is supplied to a second ink recording head, attached to the mounting portion in place of the first ink recording head, for ejecting a second ink, the recording medium, on which recording using the first ink has been completed, is fed to the recording region, recording is performed using the second ink, and the recording medium is discharged by the discharge unit. Subsequently, third recording information is supplied to a third ink recording head, attached to the mounting portion in place of the second ink recording head, for ejecting a third ink, the recording medium, on which recording using the first and second inks has been completed, is fed to the recording region by the feed unit, recording is performed using the third ink, and the recording medium is discharged by the discharge unit.

The first node includes an optical coupler that divides the input signals into operating system signals and redundant signals, TPNDs that convert the operating systems into optical signals, an optical switch that selects standby system signals from the redundant signals, and a TPND that converts the standby system signals into optical signals in a storage mode corresponding to a type of the standby system signals. The second node includes TPNDs that convert the optical signals converted from the operating system signals into signals of a type corresponding to the input signals, a TPND that converts the optical signals of the standby system signals into signals of the type of the input signals in a storage mode corresponding to the standby system signals, and an optical switch that selects an output destination of the signals output from the TPND.

A photoresist is applied to a substrate (2) and this photoresist is exposed, developed and then transferred to form a disc master which has a recess/protrusion pattern formed on its one side. The one side of the disc master (20) is etched to narrow the width of a protruding part constituting the recess/protrusion pattern, and the recess/protrusion pattern of the disc master (20) with the reduced width of the protruding part is transferred to form a stamper (30). The recess/protrusion pattern provided on the stamper (30) is transferred to form a predetermined pattern on a substrate of an optical disc.
