    摘要: The invention provides a solution for managing a business engagement between a provider and a client. The business engagement relates business value of a client to practices of a provider to determine elements of a value priced contract. The invention obtains prioritized business requirements and maps them to priorities that are used to derive metrics, which can be inputted into a proposed contract. Furthermore, client empirical data and/or provider empirical data can be used during contract generation. The invention may further perform the aforementioned mapping by examining efficiency, effectiveness, alignment, and/or transformation metrics of the provider and/or the client. The invention may further determine apportionment of value and risk between the client and the provider for each resulting element determined. In this manner, the invention provides an improved solution for managing a business engagement by comparing client/provider capabilities and selecting elements to include in the contract.

    摘要: In semiconductor devices such as laser diodes (LD) and light emitting diodes (LED) based on gallium nitride thin films, low defect density is desired in the gallium nitride film. In the fabrication of such devices on a silicon carbide substrate surface, the gallium nitride film is formed on the silicon carbide substrate after the substrate surface is etched using hydrogen at an elevated temperature. In another embodiment, an aluminum nitride film is formed as a buffer layer between the gallium nitride film and the silicon carbide substrate, and, prior to aluminum nitride formation, the substrate surface is etched using hydrogen at an elevated temperature.

    摘要: A shut-off system for a dispenser includes a pinch member that moves relative to a guide and which is normally biased against a flexible outlet tube that is disposed therebetween. The flexible outlet tube that carries material, such as soap, supplied from a pump to an outlet nozzle. The pump and the pinch member are in operative engagement with an actuator, such that when the actuator is not engaged, the pinch member closes the outlet tube to prevent residual material retained in the outlet tube from flowing or drooling out of the outlet nozzle. Correspondingly, when the actuator is engaged, the pump is compressed, and the pinch member is moved away from the outlet tube, allowing the material to be pumped through the outlet tube and dispensed from the outlet nozzle.
