Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for high efficiency (HE) beacon and HE formats in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a high efficiency (HE) access point (AP), where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured select a tuple from the basic HE-MCS set of tuples, if a basic HE modulation and control scheme (MCS) (HE-MCS) and a number of spatial streams (NSS) set of tuples is not empty, and otherwise select the tuple from a mandatory HE-MCS and NSS set of tuples. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a beacon frame in a HE single user (SU) physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), in accordance with the selected tuple, and configure the HE AP to transmit the HE SU PPDU. Null data packets formats, methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses are disclosed for multiple 20 MHz operations.

A device may perform a ranging measurement with a first device and a second device. The device may identify a first uplink (UL) location measurement report (LMR) received from the first device. The device may identify a second UL LMR received from the second device. The device may cause to send a first broadcast LMR comprising information associated with the ranging determination of the first device and the second device. The device may cause to send a second broadcast LMR comprising the measurement information carried in the first UL LMR and the second UL LMR.

Abstract: A wireless communication device, method and system. The device includes a memory, and a processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry is to: decode at least one signal field portion of a signal field of a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) Data Unit (PPDU) received over a bonded channel, the bonded channel comprising a plurality of subchannels including a punctured subchannel, the signal field portion on at least one unpunctured subchannel of the plurality of subchannels; determine, from the at least one signal field portion, information on a resource allocation for the device, the resource allocation indicating at least one resource unit (RU) used in a data field of the PPDU for the device; and decode a data field portion of the data field of the PPDU, the data field portion received on a part of the punctured subchannel based on the resource allocation.

The AP1 may to initiate a first sounding sequence with one or more STAs associated with the AP1 (BSS STAs) and the one or more STAs associated with a second AP (AP2) (OBSS STAs). In these embodiments, initiation of the first sounding sequence triggers the AP2 to join the sounding sequence to initiate a second sound sequence with the BSS STAs and the OBSS STAs.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media include an apparatus of an access point (AP) or station (STA) comprising processing circuitry configured to decode a legacy preamble of a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), determine whether the legacy preamble comprises an indication that the PPDU is an extremely-high throughput (EHT) PPDU, and in response to the determination indicating the PPDU is the EHT PPDU, decode the EHT PPDU. Some embodiments determine a spatial stream resource allocation based on a row of a spatial configuration table, a row of a frequency resource unit table, a number of stations, and location of the station relative to the number of stations in user fields of an EHT-signal (SIG) field. To accommodate 16 spatial streams, some embodiments extend the length of the packet extension field, extend signaling of a number of spatial streams, and/or extend a number of EHT-SIG symbols.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to scrambler initialization for multi-user (MU) clear to send (CTS) transmission. A first device may identify a MU request to send (RTS) frame received from a second device. The first device may determine an initial state of a scrambler based on the first 7 bits of a service field of the MU-RTS frame. The first device may cause first data to be scrambled, using the initial state of the scrambler, resulting in second data. The first device may cause to send a MU-CTS frame that comprises the second data to the second device.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to long training field (LTF) sequence security protection. A device may determine a null data packet (NDP) frame comprising one or more fields. The device may determine a first long training field (LTF) and a second LTF, the first LTF and the second LTF being associated with a first frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of first LTF and the second LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may determine a third LTF and a fourth LTF, the third LTF and the fourth LTF being associated with the a second frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of third LTF and the fourth LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may cause to send the NDP frame to an initiating or a responding device. The device may cause to send a location measurement report (LMR) frame to the initiating or the responding device, wherein the LMR comprises timing information associated with the first frequency band and the second frequency band.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatus for determining a receive (Rx) number of spatial streams (NSS) for different bandwidths (BWs) and modulation and control schemes (MCSs) are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry configured to decode a supported HE-MCS and a NSS set field, the supported HE-MSC and NSS set field received from an high-efficiency (HE) station. The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine a first maximum value of N receive (Rx) SS for a MCS and a bandwidth (BW), where the first maximum value of N Rx SS is equal to a largest number of Rx SS that supports the MCS for the BW as indicated by the supported HE-MCS and NSS set field; and, determine additional maximum values based on an operating mode (OM) notification frame, and a value of an OM control (OMC) field. Signaling for BW in 6 GHz is disclosed.

An apparatus of a responding station (RSTA) is disclosed, where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to perform ranging with a initiating stations (ISTAs) and maintain a separate sounding dialogue token for each of the ISTAs and transmit a corresponding sounding dialogue token for a ISTA in a trigger frame for ranging and sounding or a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame, and in a responding to initiating location measurement report. Apparatuses of RSTAs and ISTAS are disclosed that perform power control management during non-trigger-based ranging.

The device may perform a time of arrival (ToA) calculation based on the NDP. The device may determine an invalid indication associated with the first NDP based on the ToA calculation. The device may generate an LMR comprising of the invalid measurement indication. The device may cause to send the LMR to the first device.
