Abstract: Systems and methods for frame addressing in DL MU-MIMO transmissions are described. In some embodiments, identifier information identifying receiving devices for a frame may be included in a header of that frame. In various embodiments, the identifier information may include a concatenation of respective identifiers for each of the plurality of receiving devices. In some other embodiments, the identifiers may include information identifying a pre-defined device group including several receiving devices. In some embodiments, the frame may include a medium access control (MAC) frame transmitted by an access point/personal basic service set control point (PCP/AP), and the recipient devices may include non-AP/non-PCP stations (STAs). In some such embodiments, a receiving STA address (RA) field or transmitting STA address (TA) field in a MAC header of the MAC frame may be used as a container for the recipient identifier information.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to cascaded trigger frame indication. A device may determine a beacon frame on a communication channel. The device may determine one or more trigger frames based at least in part on the beacon frame, the one or more trigger frames including at least in part a first trigger frame and a second trigger frame. The device may determine a cascade indication associated with the one or more trigger frames. The device may cause to send the beacon frame to one or more devices. The device may cause to send the first trigger frame to the one or more devices based at least in part on the beacon frame.

Abstract: Example methods disclosed herein for a station in a communication system include accessing a response frame received in response to a control frame transmitted to an access point. The response frame indicates a start time for a trigger frame to be transmitted by the access point to trigger the station to transmit an uplink transmission. Disclosed example methods also include controlling a receiver of the station to receive the trigger frame at the indicated start time. Example methods disclosed herein for an access point in a communication system include transmitting a response frame to a station in response to a control frame received from the station. The example response frame indicates a start time for a trigger frame to be transmitted by the access point to trigger the station to transmit an uplink transmission. Disclosed example methods also include transmitting the trigger frame at the indicated start time.

Abstract: Wireless devices, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed. A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station may include circuitry. The circuitry may be configured to generate one or more resource allocations of a bandwidth for one or more HEW stations. Each resource allocation for a first portion of the bandwidth may be a multiple of a basic resource allocation or the entire first portion of the bandwidth. There may be only one resource allocation for a second portion of the bandwidth that is at least as large as the first portion of the bandwidth. In some embodiments, each resource allocation for the second portion of the bandwidth may be a multiple of the basic resource allocation or the entire second portion of the bandwidth.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed for fragmentation of media access control service data units (MSDU) in a high-efficiency wireless local-area network. An apparatus of a access point or station comprising memory and processing circuitry coupled to the memory is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to fragment a media access control (MAC) service data unit (MSDU) into two or more MSDU fragments, and encapsulate the two or more MSDU fragments into two or more aggregated MSDUs (A-MSDUs); one or more A-MSDUs and one or more MAC protocol data units (MPDUs); or, two or more MPDUs. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a delimiter in front of a first fragment of the two or more MSDU fragments, where the delimiter indicates a length of the two or more MSDU fragments, and to encode each MPDU to comprise a sequence number.

Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), user station (STA), and method for channel sounding in a wireless network are generally described herein. The AP may transmit a null data packet (NDP) announcement to indicate an NDP time period reserved for transmission of an NDP by the AP. The AP may further transmit a trigger frame for sounding (TFS) to indicate a scheduled sounding feedback period for multiple STAs, which may include identifiers of the STAs. The AP may further receive sounding feedback from at least some of the STAs during the sounding feedback period.
