    摘要: A method of allocating sub-channel signal interleaving patterns to BSs forming a wireless communication system that divides a frequency band into a plurality of sub-carriers and including a plurality of sub-channels, which are a set of predetermined adjacent sub-carriers. The method includes: creating a basic orthogonal sequence having a length identical to a number of the sub-carriers forming the sub-channel; creating a plurality of sequences having a same length as the basic orthogonal sequence by cyclic-shifting the basic orthogonal sequence a predetermined number of times or performing a modulo operation based on a number of the sub-carriers forming the sub-channel, after adding a predetermined offset to the cyclic-shifted basic orthogonal sequence; selecting a predetermined number of sequences corresponding to a number of the BSs from among the plurality of sequences; and allocating the selected sequences as the sub-channel signal interleaving patterns for the BSs.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for performing initial network entry in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A communication method includes broadcasting, by a Base Station (BS), a Downlink Channel Descriptor (DCD) message including information on a different Frequency Allocation (FA) of the BS using all FAs; connecting, by one of a plurality of Media Access Control (MAC) processors of a Mobile Station (MS), using an arbitrary FA of the BS; obtaining, by the MS, information on the different FA of the BS by analyzing the DCD message received using the arbitrary FA; and performing, by one or more of the remaining MAC processors of the MS, a network entry process using the different FA of the BS according to the different FA information. Accordingly, when an MS having a plurality of MAC addresses connects to a system that performs communication through multiple FAs, different MAC processors of the MS can perform initial network entry using different FAs in the same cell (or sector or BS) without collisions.

In a transmitting method for packet distribution in the wideband wireless communication system, the method includes, during a network entry process, determining a number of FAs through multi-FA capability negotiation; distributing packets, received from a superordinate layer, through the multiple FAs; and transmitting the packets distributed through the multiple FAs. Accordingly, packets can be effectively distributed through multiple FAs, and QoS can be effectively provided.

The common control information includes first information that all of the plurality of subscriber stations commonly receive and second information that the plurality of subscriber stations separately receive according to channel states of the plurality of subscriber stations. The first information is decoded by demodulating and decoding the common control information according to a modulation scheme and a coding scheme corresponding to an MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) level applied to the first information in the base station. The second information is decoded by demodulating and decoding the common control information according to a modulation scheme and a coding scheme corresponding to MCS levels applied to the second information in the base station.
