摘要: In a service level interworking unit, a service center (SC) address or a set of SC addresses dedicated for the service level interworking is used whenever an instant message (IM) is interworked to a short message (SM). In other words, if a message is initially sent as an instant message (IM) by user equipment (UE) and is interworked to a short message (SM) by the interworking function, the interworked short message (SM) is sent to a dedicated service center (SC) address. For originating messages that are not interworked, different service center address or addresses are used. A terminating short message (SM) received at the interworking unit is interworked to an instant message (IM) and the interworked instant message (IM) is delivered to the user equipment (UE), if a service center address in the terminating short message (SM) is one of the dedicated service center addresses. If the a service center address in the terminating short message (SM) is not one of the dedicated service center addresses, the terminating short message (SM) is delivered to the user equipment (UE) without a service level interworking.

摘要: A system for transferring active communication sessions between apparatuses. In at least one example implementation, a first apparatus may receive information including at least identity information corresponding to a second apparatus via close-proximity wireless communication. The receipt of the identity information may then trigger the first apparatus to determine whether it is already in a communication session. If it is determined that the first apparatus is in a communication session, it may be further determined, based on the identity information, whether automatic transfer of the communication session is permitted. If the first apparatus determines that the automatic transfer is permitted, the first apparatus may then initiate a transfer of the communication session to the second apparatus.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for page-mode messaging. The method includes determining whether a page-mode message exceeds a predetermined size limit. The method further includes sending, using a terminal, the page-mode message using a session-mode messaging mechanism when it is determined that the page-mode message exceeds the predetermined size limit, with an indication indicating that a session-mode is for the page-mode message. Further, the method includes applying, using the terminal, a session description protocol to initiate a session in the session-mode messaging mechanism, and adding, using the terminal, the indication to a header of a session initiation message.

摘要: A system for updating communication services includes user equipment configured to communicate using a first communication service standard and a second communication service standard, a subscriber database, an application server, and a network device. The network device detects an update trigger corresponding to a user equipment, requests that the user equipment discontinue using the first communication service standard, and flags the user equipment as updated by communicating with the application server and the subscriber database, The network device also receives a communication from the user equipment and determines whether the communication corresponds to the first communication service standard or the second communication service standard. If the communication corresponds to the first communication service standard the network device communicates an error message to the user equipment. However, if the communication corresponds to a second communication service standard, the network device processes the communication.

摘要: A system, apparatus and method for establishing circuit-switched (CS) communications in packet-switched (PS) multimedia networks such as IMS, and providing services via the PS networks to CS domain users. A dialog is established between terminals through the PS multimedia network. A service is provided to at least one of the terminals by way of the dialog. CS bearer information, including an indication that a communication flow is requested via a CS network, is communicated between the terminals by way of the dialog. A communication flow via the CS network is effected between the terminals as directed by the CS bearer information. IMS or other PS multimedia network services can thus be provided to users otherwise communicating via the CS-domain.

摘要: A method, system and gateway device enables interworking between an IP-based network and a circuit-switched network. A first address information of a first connection end located in the circuit-switched network is routed in a trigger message from the IP-based network to a gateway control function. The first and second call legs are established in parallel towards the first connection end based on the first address information, and towards a second connection end located in the IP-based network based on a second address information obtained from the trigger message. A single connection between the two connection ends is then established by connecting the first and second call legs. Thereby, IP-based signaling functionality can be used to add capability for subscribers located in the CS domain to be invited into conferences or calls with subscribers located in an IP-based domain, e.g. the IMS domain.

摘要: An apparatus is provided that includes a processor configured to maintain a first implicit registration set for a first apparatus, where the first implicit registration set includes a first identity unique to the first apparatus and a shared identity. The processor is also configured to maintain a second implicit registration set for a second apparatus, where the second implicit registration set includes a second identity unique to the second apparatus and the shared identity. In this regard, the first and second implicit registration sets may be maintained to enable registration of the first and second apparatuses with a network such that each of the first and second apparatuses are configured to receive communication requests to the respective first and second identities, and such that both of the first and second apparatuses are configured to receive communication requests to the shared identity.
