    摘要: An improved process for removing metals from heavy oils and other hydrocarbon feed streams is disclosed. The process comprises combining water with the hydrocarbon feed stream at a liquid volume ratio of about 1:50 to about 1:1, and contacting the mixture under suitable demetallizing conditions with hydrogen gas and a catalyst composition comprising (a) AlPO.sub.4 and preferably (b) a Group VIB metal, more preferably molybdenum.

    摘要: Metals contained in a hydrocarbon containing feed stream are removed by contacting the hydrocarbon containing feed stream under suitable demetallization conditions with hydrogen and a catalyst composition comprising zirconium phosphate, cobalt phosphate and iron phosphate. The life and activity of the catalyst composition may be increased by introducing a decomposable metal compound selected from the group consisting of the metals of Group V-B, Group VI-B, Group VII-B and Group VIII of the Periodic Table into the hydrocarbon containing feed stream prior to contacting the hydrocarbon containing feed stream with the catalyst composition.

    摘要: Metals contained in a hydrocarbon containing feed stream are at least partially removed by contacting the hydrocarbon containing feed stream under suitable demetallization conditions with hydrogen and a catalyst composition comprising an alumina-containing support and nickel arsenide, NiAs.sub.x. The life and activity of the catalyst composition can be increased by introducing a decomposable compound of a metal selected from the group consisting of the metals of Group IV-B, Group V-B, Group VI-B, Group VII-B and Group VIII of the Periodic Table into the hydrocarbon containing feed stream during or prior to contacting the feed stream with hydrogen and the catalyst composition. The preferred nickel arsenide catalyst composition is prepared by reduction of alumina-supported nickel arsenate with hydrogen gas.

F. at atmospheric pressure. The process comprises reacting the feedstock with hydrogen at hydrogenation conditions in the presence of a catalyst comprising hydrogenation metals and a support comprising beta zeolite. The hydrogenation metals comprise from about 0.1 percent by weight to about 2.0 percent by weight each of palladium and platinum measured as a percentage of the catalyst. The beta zeolite comprises from about 1 ppm by weight to about 3.0 percent by weight sodium calculated as a percentage of said beta zeolite.
