摘要: Processes for producing olefins include passing a hydrocarbon feed to a hydrocarbon cracking unit that cracks the hydrocarbon feed to produce a cracker effluent, passing the cracker effluent to a cracker effluent separation system that separates the cracker effluent to produce at least a cracking C4 effluent including 1-butene, 1,3-butadiene, and isobutene, passing the cracking C4 effluent to an SHIU that contacts the cracking C4 effluent with hydrogen in the presence of a selective hydrogenation catalyst to produce a hydrogenation effluent having a 2-butenes concentration greater than or equal to the sum of the concentrations of 1-butene and isobutene. The processes include passing the hydrogenation effluent to a metathesis unit that contacts the hydrogenation effluent with a metathesis catalyst and a cracking catalyst downstream of the metathesis catalyst to produce a metathesis reaction effluent comprising at least propene.

(b) isomerizing metathesis in the presence of an isomerization catalyst and a metathesis catalyst.

摘要: Embodiments of processes for producing propylene utilize a dual catalyst system comprising a mesoporous silica catalyst impregnated with metal oxide and a mordenite framework inverted (MFI) structured silica catalyst downstream of the mesoporous silica catalyst, where the mesoporous silica catalyst includes a pore size distribution of at least 2.5 nm to 40 nm and a total pore volume of at least 0.600 cm3/g, and the MFI structured silica catalyst has a total acidity of 0.001 mmol/g to 0.1 mmol/g. The propylene is produced from the butene stream via metathesis by contacting the mesoporous silica catalyst and subsequent cracking by contacting the MFI structured silica catalyst.

In an embodiment, the method does not employ grafting the catalyst prior to catalysis. In particular, embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a process of hydrocarbon (e.g., C1 to C20 hydrocarbon) metathesis (e.g., alkane, olefin, or alkyne metathesis) transformation, where the process can be conducted without employing grafting prior to catalysis.

摘要: A method comprising: introducing a refinery off gas stream into an oil absorber wherein the refinery off gas stream comprises H2, N2, O2, methane, ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, and C4+; introducing a solvent into the oil absorber; counter-currently contacting the refinery off gas stream and the solvent in the oil absorber; generating an absorber overhead stream comprising H2, N2, O2, and methane; generating an absorber bottoms stream comprising the solvent wherein ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, and C4+ are dissolved in the solvent; introducing the absorber bottoms stream into a solvent regenerator and generating an overhead stream comprising ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, and C4+; and introducing the overhead stream into a C2-C3 splitter that generates a dilute ethylene product stream and a bottoms product stream, wherein the dilute ethylene product stream comprises ethylene and ethane, and wherein the bottoms product stream comprises propane, propylene, and C4+.
