摘要: A shift control apparatus that disconnects and connects respective pairs of friction engagement elements during downshift to a speed spaced apart by two or more steps through an intermediate shift speed. A shift controller controls a hydraulic pressure of a second shift release element by feedback control, and in accordance with the increase in the torque capacity of the second shift release element, also controls the torque capacity of a first shift engagement element so as to be sufficiently higher than the amount of change in the torque capacity of the second shift release element. The occurrence of adverse consequences in which a shift shock is generated is effectively suppressed because a sufficient reaction force cannot be ensured during engagement switching due to insufficient torque capacity of the first shift engagement element, and since the second shift release element cannot be appropriately feedback-controlled, difficulty in control of rotation change results.

摘要: A shift control apparatus has first, second, third and fourth engagement elements, and a shift control processing unit engaging the first and the second engagement elements in order to realize a first shift speed, engaging the third and the fourth engagement in order to realize a second shift speed, and inhibiting an increase in torque capacity of one of the first and second engagement elements before starting of release of the second engagement element when shifting from the first to the second shift speed. During shifting from the first to the second shift speed, an increase in torque capacity of one of the first and second engagement elements is inhibited before starting of release of the second engagement element. This prevents a step-like shift shock from being caused by the slowed progression of shifting when release of the second engagement element is started.

摘要: A lock-up control apparatus for an automatic transmission in which operations of four engagement elements are required when shifting is performed from a first shift speed to a second shift speed, the first shift speed being achieved by engagement of a first engagement element and a second engagement element, the second shift speed being achieved by engagement of a third engagement element and a fourth engagement element. The lock-up control apparatus includes a lock-up control unit that performs a control for bringing a lock-up clutch into one of a disengagement state and a slip state at a start of shifting, and that prevents reengagement of the lock-up clutch at a completion of engagement of the third engagement element when shifting is performed from the first shift speed to the second shift speed during lock up.

摘要: In order to improve transmission efficiency of an automatic transmission, an engagement brake which does not cause drag is used and the surety of its engagement and release, and quick switching between forward maneuver and backward maneuver, is enabled. The automatic transmission comprises a transmission mechanism to achieve forward maneuver and backward maneuver. A backward motion brake which stops the rotation element to achieve backward maneuver is the engagement brake and an input clutch to transfer power by meshing with the rotation element during both forward maneuver and backward maneuver is a friction clutch. The control apparatus executes the control operation to prepare for speedy re-meshing by holding a supply pressure for the clutch hydraulic servo at a sufficient oil pressure to place the pressure in the stand-by condition at the piston stroke position immediately before the start of clutch engagement during the engagement or releasing of engagement of the engagement brake at the time of D.fwdarw.R or R.fwdarw.D shift.

摘要: A control system for use in an automatic transmission having a transmission mechanism for establishing a plurality of forward stages, a neutral state and a reverse stage. The transmission mechanism includes a predetermined rotary element to be retained for establishing the reverse stage; a reverse brake for retaining the rotary element; and a frictional engagement element capable of stopping the rotation of the rotary element. The reverse brake is a meshing type brake which meshes with and retains the rotary element. The control system has an engagement mechanism for applying the frictional engagement element. When the reverse stage is selected, the frictional engagement element is applied at least until the meshing engagement of the reverse brake is established, to stop the predetermined rotary element.

摘要: Radiation transmission intensity information obtained from a radiation source of two different energy levels or energy bands is used to perform an energy subtraction calculation and quantify the constituent substances of the object being analyzed. The objective is to simultaneously detect and quantify the plural substances composing the object being analyzed in a single operation using a single subtraction calculation equation. An energy subtraction calculation is first performed to eliminate a specific substance in the object being analyzed, making it possible to simultaneously determine the other two constituent substances using the negativity of the calculated result. When three substances are overlapping in the direction of radiation transmission, using the transmission intensity information from a radiation source with only two energy levels, the effect of one substance is eliminated while identifying and quantifying the other two by applying an energy subtraction calculation process that eliminates the first substance and obtains the density of a third substance, and obtains the density of the third substance in an area where the three substances overlap based on the calculated result for the area containing the first and second substances.
