    摘要: To a fine R--Fe--B alloy powder comprised predominantly of 10-30 atomic % of R (wherein R stands for at least one element selected from rare earth elements including yttrium), 2-28 atomic % of B, and 65-82 atomic % of Fe in which up to 50 atomic % of Fe may be replaced by Co, at least one boric acid ester compound such as tributyl borate is added as a lubricant in a proportion of 0.01%-2% by weight and mixed uniformly before, during, or after fine grinding of the alloy powder. The resulting powder mixture is compacted by compression molding in a magnetic field and the green compacts are sintered and aged. Compression molding can be performed continuously without need of mold lubrication, and the resulting magnets have improved magnet properties with respect to residual flux density, maximum energy product, and intrinsic coercive force.

    摘要: A novel process is disclosed for preparing a 3-substituted methyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The process comprises reacting a 3-acetoxymethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof with a specific compound, such as a boric acid ester, an orthoester or an acetal, in the presence of at least one specific catalyst selected from the group consisting of Lewis acids or complexes thereof, proton acids and mixtures thereof. In the process, formation of impurities, such as a lactone, is sufficiently suppressed without protection of the carboxylic acid, so that the high purity desired product, i.e., a 3-substituted-methyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is useful as an intermediate for various cephalosporin antibiotics having excellent antimicrobial activity, can be prepared in one step in high yield.

    摘要: A high withstand voltage Darlington transistor circuit is comprised of a Darlington transistor and a bypass circuit. This bypass circuit is comprised of a bypass transistor whose collector is connected to the base of an earlier stage transistor of the transistors which make up the Darlington transistor and whose emitter is connected to the base of a later stage transistor. The base of the bypass transistor is connected to the collector of the Darlington transistor via a diode and the resistor. When the collector-emitter voltage of the Darlington transistor crosses a specified value, the bypass transistor operates and a base current of the Darlington transistor is supplied to the base of the later stage transistor without being supplied to the earlier stage transistor. The result is that the current amplification ratio of the Darlington transistor is substantially decreased, and the withstand voltage is substantially increased.

    摘要: An immersion cooling apparatus includes a mechanism for immersing a hot metal pipe with the axis thereof directed horizontally in a cooling tank containing cooling liquid, and a mechanism for locking the immersed pipe in position in the cooling tank. While the locking mechanism is preventing the pipe from moving, a nozzle extending toward the interior of the pipe in the direction of the pipe axis injects cooling liquid into the pipe. The cooling liquid thus injected flows completely through the pipe so that the pipe being cooled is not injured or bent.
