摘要: Within a body, a sensor member, which has one end supported in a cantilever fashion adjacent a predetermined end of the body and has the other end extending into a space of the body, includes a coil section having a plurality of coil segments that are excitable in a same phase by a predetermined A.C. signal and sequentially arranged along a direction of linear movement of a movable member. The movable member has an inner space to permit entry of the sensor member into the movable member. Inner peripheral wall of the movable member defining the inner space includes a magnetism-responsive substance containing a magnetic or electrically-conductive material. Relative positions of the magnetism-responsive substance and the coil section vary in accordance with a stroke position of the movable member, in response to which respective inductance of the coil segments are caused to vary in such a manner that during movement of the magnetism-responsive substance from one end to the other of a particular one of the coil segments, a voltage across the particular coil segment is caused to progressively decrease or increase.

摘要: First A.C. output signal sin(&ohgr;+&thgr;) having an electric phase angle shifted in a positive direction in accordance with a position-to-be-detected is produced along with a second A.C. output signal sin(&ohgr;−&thgr;) having an electric phase angle shifted in a negative direction. First and second detection data are generated by detecting respective phase differences (+&thgr; and −&thgr;) of the first and second A.C. output signals from a predetermined reference phase. First predicted value is provided on the basis of at least two successive samples of the first detection data, and a second predicted value is provided on the basis of at least two successive samples of the second detection data. The first and second predicted values are modified to provide a standard predicted value for correcting a nonlinear error resulting from the Doppler effect. Using this standard predicted value, predictive interpolation is performed on the first and second detection data sequentially with the passage of time, so as to provide first and second interpolated detection data. With this arrangement, it is possible to achieve improved response and detection performance with respect to dynamic characteristics. Error due to a temperature change or the like may be eliminated by performing an arithmetic operation on the first and second interpolated detection data, so that temperature drift characteristics can be improved.

摘要: A receiving chamber receives a material heated in a heating chamber. An injecting shaft of an injecting machine slurries the material crushed by cutters downstream of the receiving chamber and feeds the slurried material to an injection port formed between the fore ends of the shaft and injecting chamber so that the slurried material is gradually accumulated in the port. The shaft is retracted by counteraction from the slurried material accumulated in the port, over a distance proportional to a current accumulated amount of the material in the port. The current accumulated amount of the material in the port can be detected from a current position of the shaft, and then it is determined whether the detected current accumulated amount has reached a predetermined amount. When the current accumulated amount has not reached the predetermined amount, the cutters and injecting shaft are further driven until the predetermined amount is reached. The receiving chamber has a pair of passage sections on its outer surface in opposed relation to each other, which function both as light beam passages for light emitting and receiving elements that are provided on the sections for detecting whether a heated material is in the receiving chamber, and as inert gas supply passages to direct inert gas into the receiving chamber.

摘要: A first sensor detects a rotational position of a first shaft in a noncontact fashion and generates a first output signal by phase-shifting a reference A.C. signal in accordance with the detected rotational position of the first shaft. A second sensor detects a rotational position of a second shaft in a noncontact fashion and generates a second output signal by phase-shifting the reference A.C. signal in accordance with the detected rotational position of the second shaft. First and second timing signals corresponding to phase shift amounts of the first and second output signals are output via respective output lines. Relative rotational position detection data, representing a rotational difference or amount of torsion between the two shafts, appears in a time difference between the first and second timing signals. A PWM signal, having a pulse width corresponding to a time difference between the first and second timing signals, may be output.

摘要: First and second shafts (1, 2) are interconnected via a torsion bar (3) for torsional (or rotational) movement relative to each other, and first and second magnetic body sections (10, 20) are provided to rotate in interlocked relation to the rotation of the first and second shafts, respectively. The first and second magnetic body sections form at least two ring-shaped variable magnetic coupling sections opposed to each other via a gap, magnetic coupling in each of the boundary sections varies in response to variation of a relative rotational position between the first and second shafts, and variation of the magnetic coupling differs in phase between the boundary sections. Coil section (30) includes magnetic-coupling detecting coils (L1-L4) provided in corresponding relation to the boundary sections. Each of the first and second magnetic body sections is of a cylindrical shape and has a plurality of magnetic teeth formed at unequal pitches along the circumferential direction thereof, and the magnetic teeth differ in axial length among tooth groups corresponding to the boundary sections.

摘要: A printer apparatus terminates printing and discharges paper when an interface is disconnected during a printing process, whereby the next print data is received and is appropriately printed. In particular, when a printer apparatus that selectively uses a plurality of interfaces to receive print data from one of plurality of host units so that the print data can be printed by a single printing mechanism has an error such as interface disconnection during a process for printing print data received via the selected interface, the printer apparatus terminates the printing and discharges paper, whereby when print data is received via another interface and is printed, the printing can be smoothly performed without requiring the user to perform any operation.

摘要: Single coil to be excited by a predetermined A.C. signal is provided, with no secondary coil being provided. Magnetism-responsive member is movable relative to the coil so that a self-inductance of the coil progressively increases or decreases in response to displacement of an object to be detected within a predetermined range and a voltage of the coil corresponding to the self-inductance is produced. Predetermined reference voltage is generated and subjected to analog operations with the coil output voltage, to thereby generate first and second A.C. outputs having, as amplitude coefficients, first and second cyclic amplitude functions correlated to the position to be detected. The position is detected on the basis of the phase component of the amplitude coefficient functions. Combination of two coils and one reference voltage may be employed. Further, a plurality of coil segments excitable by a same-phase signal are placed in series along the direction of displacement of the object so that a progressive increase or decrease occurs sequentially in the self-inductance of the coil segments as the magnetism-responsive member moves relative to the coil segments, and the voltage corresponding to the self-inductance is taken out from each of the coil segments. Performing analog arithmetic operations on combinations of the coil voltages produces first and second A.C. outputs having, as amplitude coefficients, first and second cyclic amplitude functions correlated to the position to be detected.

摘要: A group of secondary windings are distributively provided on a stator over a predetermined range, and the respective inductance of the secondary windings in the group is set in such a manner to present predetermined inductance distribution. A rotor has an eccentric shape so as to cause variations in magnetic coupling at individual poles of the stator in response to its current rotational position. By combined use of the magnetic coupling variations between primary and secondary windings on the stator and the predetermined inductance distribution of the secondary windings, high-accuracy detection of a rotational position is achieved with a simple structure. A plurality of primary windings may be set so as to present predetermined inductance distribution.
