摘要: A shallow p-n junction diffusion layer having a high activation rate of implanted ions, low resistivity, and a controlled leakage current is formed through annealing. Annealing after impurities have been doped is carried out through light irradiation. Those impurities are activated by annealing at least twice through light irradiation after doping impurities to a semiconductor substrate 11. The light radiations are characterized by usage of a W halogen lamp RTA or a flash lamp FLA except for the final light irradiation using a flash lamp FLA. Impurity diffusion may be controlled to a minimum, and crystal defects, which have developed in an impurity doping process, may be sufficiently reduced when forming ion implanted layers in a source and a drain extension region of the MOSFET or ion implanted layers in a source and a drain region.

摘要: An ink-jet image forming apparatus for scanning a recording medium in a main scanning direction by an ink-jet head, and conveying the recording medium in a sub scanning direction so that a printing area formed at every scan by the recording head overlaps with an adjacent printing area at their boundary area. The apparatus includes a distribution determining unit that determines a dot distribution at every scan in the overlapped boundary area, a nozzle determining unit that determines an alternative nozzle capable of forming dots instead of an non-ejectable nozzle in the overlapped boundary area, and a dot determining unit that determines a dot size or a dot density from the alternative nozzle, on the basis of a printing position by the alternative nozzle and the dot distribution determined by the dot distribution determining unit.

摘要: In a beltless tandem-type image forming apparatus, a plurality of pairs of transfer rollers are placed side by side at intervals along a conveying direction of sheets. A control section independently conveys sheets in sequence through nip sections of respective pairs of transfer rollers driven by a driving section while sequentially transferring images formed by an imaging section onto the sheets. Conveying speeds of the respective pairs of transfer rollers controlled by the driving section are gradually decreased for every pair of transfer rollers from an upstream side toward a downstream side along a conveying direction of the sheets, and consequently, a driving period for driving the respective pairs of transfer rollers to convey each sheet is gradually increased for every pair of transfer rollers from the upstream side toward the downstream side along the conveying direction of the sheets.
