摘要： An access device for facilitating access to a surgical site includes an access member defining a longitudinal axis and having proximal and distal ends. The access member includes an inner member and an outer member disposed about the inner member. The inner member defines an opening therethrough to permit access to a surgical site and is moveable relative to the outer member. The access device also includes a deployment member associated with the inner member and the outer member. The deployment member is adapted to be deployed in at least a radial outward direction relative to the longitudinal axis upon movement of the inner member relative to the outer member, to thereby be positioned to engage body tissue to facilitate retention of the access member within a patient's body. The deployment member comprises a collar engaged with the inner member at a first end portion and the outer member at a second end portion.

摘要： A clamp assembly secures a first article to a second article. The clamp assembly includes first and second spaced-apart article holders adapted for engaging respective first and second articles. An elongated gear rack interconnects the first and second article holders. A pinion operatively engages the gear rack, and is adapted for moving the first article holder along the gear rack relative to the second article holder. A locking bar has a plurality of spaced teeth adapted for meshing with respective teeth of the gear rack in a locked position. The locking bar is moveable between the locked position and a released position. In the locked position, the meshing teeth of the locking bar and gear rack cooperate to prevent linear movement of the first article holder relative to the second article holder, thereby securing the first article to the second article. In the released position, the teeth of the locking bar and gear rack are sufficiently disengaged to allow free linear movement of the first article holder along the gear rack relative to the second article holder.

The closure has a plug seal above the threads engaging the upper flange of the fitment. Further the closure has a radial outwardly facing latch engaging a radial inwardly facing interfering projection on the fitment forming a child safety feature for the fitment closure.

摘要： Chemiluminescent assays to determine the presence and/or amount of one or more labeled analytes in a sample are described wherein a solid support is contacted sequentially with first and second chemiluminescent substrates each of which are capable of being activated by an enzyme and the resulting chemiluminescent signals are detected. A plurality of probes are disposed on a surface layer of the solid support in a plurality of discrete areas. Some of the probes are bound to a conjugate of the first enzyme and some of the probes are bound to a conjugate of the second enzyme. The assay can be used to compare biological samples (e.g., mRNA populations from different cells) on the same support surface. Alternatively, one of the chemiluminescent signals generated can be used as a control signal for normalizing the chemiluminescent assay data.

摘要： A DC fan, or lot of DC fans is characterized at a constant voltage to determine the variation of their rotational speed with respect to altitude. Many such DC fans will have a substantially linear response in speed with respect to altitude. From this relationship, a converter is constructed to convert the rotational speed into an altitude. The converter may be a discrete electronic device including a look up table or capable of performing the arithmetic algorithm representing the relationship between fan speed and altitude. Alternatively, the converter may be incorporated into the system to be cooled by the DC fan. For example, it may be a software routine run by the computer that the DC fan is used to cool.

Filled vias couple selected metal pads to selected signal lines to provide “1” outputs from selected cells and signal lines which are not coupled by filled vias to the metal pads provide “0” outputs from selected cells.

A nozzle having two or more outlets to the atmosphere is mounted to the delivery passageway to provide colliding streams of liquid. Baffles are provided to disrupt the flow of liquid in the stream prior to the collision of the streams to provide an improved spray pattern.
