摘要: A data processing apparatus allocates a page number in a record to each of a plurality of records of a variable data print job and performs a preflight check every page number. After that, the data processing apparatus extracts the records in which the same kind of (or same) problem has occurred in a page of the same page number from the records included in the variable data print job. The data processing apparatus calculates a ratio of the extracted records to all records having the page of the page number and presumes whether the problem relates to a master object or relates to a variable object according to the ratio. The data processing apparatus displays whether the problem in the page relates to the master object or relates to the variable object every page having the problem.

摘要: A CPU of an image forming apparatus, such as a color electrophotographic copying apparatus, reads print step information from a memory, such as a USB memory, that stores print image data and print step information relating to a plurality of print steps for producing a print of the print image data and a progress state of the print steps. The CPU updates the progress state of the print steps stored in the memory subsequent to the print step being performed by a printer in the image forming apparatus, displays a next print step to perform based on the read print step information, and controls the printer. The image forming apparatus thus avoids leaks of the print data, and prevents useless printing and erratic job processing. Thus, even an inexperienced operator can provide sophisticated high quality print service using the image forming apparatus.

摘要: Each of input and output devices previously forms device profile, and a host computer acquires virtual input/output device information including a pair of ideal input and output devices on the basis of the device profiles of these devices. If the virtual input/output device information is acquired, the input device demands to acquire a transfer path profile included in the virtual input/output device information, and then demands if the transfer path profile is acquired the output device registered in the acquired transfer path profile to connect a line. If the line connection is established, the input device performs data inputting such that the acquired transfer path profile is reflected in the device setting, and then it transfers the input data to the desired output device.

摘要: A working micro-electrode with a reference electrode prepared by coating a working micro-electrode with an insulating material except a working electrode portion, forming a silver layer on the coated surface, and then changing a portion of the silver layer into silver chloride which is the reference electrode; a working micro-electrode with a reference electrode and a counter electrode prepared by coating the working micro-electrode with the reference electrode with an insulating material, and then forming the counter electrode on the surface of the insulating material; and methods for preparing these composite micro-electrodes.Heretofore, even if the working electrode is thinly constituted, the merit of the micro-electrode has not been sufficiently utilized, since the reference electrode and the counter electrode have been thick. However, the present invention can solve this problem and can facilitate experiments in which the micro-electrode is necessary.Since an inexpensive material such as carbon can be used, the working electrode may be constituted so as to be disposable or can be cut off the used portion to repeatedly obtain a new electrode surface. Therefore, the working electrode of the present invention is economical.
