摘要： A method for mounting a piezoelectric transducer layer to a diaphragm layer exposes an electrode for each piezoelectric transducer after thermoset polymer filling the interstitial space between the piezoelectric transducers has been cured. The method includes bonding a polymer layer to a diaphragm layer having a plurality of openings, bonding piezoelectric transducers to the diaphragm layer, filling areas between the piezoelectric transducers on the diaphragm layer with thermoset polymer, and removing the thermoset polymer from the piezoelectric transducers with a laser to expose a metal electrode on each piezoelectric transducer.

In embodiments, a suitable process includes a mixing tank for mixing a plurality of particles dispersed within a liquid media and a vane unit for applying a swirling effect to the plurality of droplets received from the mixing tank through a spray nozzle. The vane unit is in operable communication with a spray nozzle for launching a plurality of droplets, the plurality of droplets including different combinations of the plurality of particles. The process further includes a plurality of outlet ports, where each of a first set of outlet ports includes a filter and of the other outlet port is filterless.

摘要： Exemplary embodiments provide a direct imaging system and methods for direct marking an image using the system. The disclosed direct imaging system can eliminate the use of at least one of a charge, and/or exposure subsystems in an electrostatographic machine and related processes. Specifically, the direct imaging system can include a direct marking substrate (e.g., a printing substrate) and a development roll member closely spaced from the direct marking substrate. In one embodiment, the development roll member can include a plurality of actuator cells with each actuator cell controllably addressable to eject one or more toner particles adhered thereto. The ejected toner particles can transit the space between the donor roll member and the direct marking substrate, and thereby marking onto the direct marking substrate forming an image.

The at least one electrophoretic particle includes a shell and a core located within the shell, wherein the core includes a colorant and a fluorescent compound. An electric field may be applied adjacently to the fluid of the ink, and the at least one set of colored particles having the core-shell structure is movable within the fluid of the ink by the electric field.
