摘要: The occurrence of splash of a sample or a reagent from a nozzle tip is prevented during shifting of a dispensing mechanism. An automatic analyzer includes a nozzle for sucking liquid to be dispensed; a pump for allowing suction of the liquid into the nozzle and generating pressure variations; a pipe line connecting the nozzle with the pump; and a shifting mechanism for shifting the nozzle in horizontal and vertical directions. In the automatic analyzer, the pipe line is at least partially composed of a flexible tube. The flexible tube has an upward or downward convex bending portion in the middle thereof. The convex bending portion changes in position and shifts along with the shifting mechanism at a nozzle side. If the nozzle is shifted horizontally, a value obtained by subtracting a vertical distance between the top of a convex portion of the flexible tube and the uppermost portion of the nozzle from a vertical distance between the tip portion of the nozzle and the uppermost portion of the nozzle is a value ranging from −30 mm to 130 mm.

摘要: A sample treatment apparatus is designed to directly monitor a pressure signal from a pressure sensor to examine pressure fluctuations resulting from a sample's sway before a discharge of the sample, so that the discharge is performed after the confirmation of the absence of pressure changes. The apparatus has a detection function that allows a discharge to be started even before a pressure fluctuation vanishes completely, by allowing the operator to set a desired number of pressure monitorings, monitoring time, or pressure amplitude. The detection function also allows an alarm to be raised when a pressure fluctuation has not fallen within a given range. The sample treatment apparatus therefore allows discharge of more accurate amounts of samples.

摘要: In an analysis system for detecting amounts of components contained in samples, many samples can be measured simultaneously in the whole of the system by use of compact inexpensive photometers. An LED with low heat generation and a long life span is used as a light source. Compactness is achieved by bended optical axis instead of a straight one. Components for bending an optical axis and components for condensing light to ensure an amount of light are in common use to reduce the number of components. Compactness, reduction of the number of components, and integration achieve easy optical axis alignment and precise measurement.

摘要: There is provided a high-accuracy automatic analysis device achieving both of measurement in a wide concentration range and high sensitivity at a low concentration. The signals of a plurality of wavelengths λ1 to λ12 where the sensitivity of light absorption caused by fine particles is high from a light source 40 are converted to absorbances by a spectroscopic optical system (detector) 41. The absorbances are converted to a secondary parameter from in which a noise component is cancelled by using a previously-defined conversion table 54, so that a concentration of a measured material (predetermined component) is calculated by an operation unit (calculating means) 53 based on the secondary parameter. Thus, analysis being resistant to the noise even at the low concentration can be achieved in a range up to a high concentration.

摘要: In a device for transporting liquid, liquid to be transported is enclosed by an oil droplet, which is fractionated with air, for manipulation. Moreover, as a method for supplying liquids wherein a plurality of liquids are enclosed by an oil droplet sequentially and treated, liquid enclosed by an oil droplet is formed by associating one oil with one liquid in a liquid introducing section. According to the present invention, even in the case where a plurality of liquids are manipulated, it is possible to manipulate stably without affecting other liquids. Moreover, it is possible to treat as a liquid enclosed by an oil droplet successively in the device for transporting liquid, thereby allowing the invention to be applied to a system for analyzing easily.

摘要: A highly-reliable, inexpensive and small-sized automatic analyzer is provided which can eliminate the need of an additional space for piercing a seal of a reagent bottle and can prevent a deviation of a reagent sampling nozzle from the position of a pierced hole. A piercing tool for piercing the seal of the reagent bottle is fitted over a nozzle of a reagent sampling mechanism, and a stripper for automatically fitting and removing the piercing tool is provided. By fitting the piercing tool for piercing the seal of the reagent bottle over the nozzle of the reagent sampling mechanism, the seal of the reagent bottle can be pierced in situ on a reagent disk by using the piercing tool. An additional space so far required for the seal piercing is no longer needed and a deviation between the seal piercing position and the reagent sampling position is prevented.

摘要: A titanium carbonitride-based alloy which is excellent in chipping resistance and wear resistance is disclosed. A hard phase is a carbide (TiMC), a nitride (TiMN) or a carbonitride (TiMCN) of Ti and at least one metal (M), other than Ti, selected from those belonging to the groups IVa, Va and VIa of the periodic table. A binder phase contains Co and Ni as main components. When the structure of the titanium-based alloy is observed with a scanning electron microscope, particles forming the hard phase in the alloy have black core parts which are located on core portions to appear black and peripheral parts which are located around the black core parts to appear gray. Assuming that A and B represent particles having the black core parts occupying areas of at least 30% of the overall particles A and those having the black core parts occupying areas of not more than 30% of the overall particles B respectively, the area ratio of the particles A to the particles B satisfies a condition of 0.3.ltoreq.A/(A+B).ltoreq.0.8.
