Abstract:
A material for forming electroless plate shows favorable catalyst adhering property, and shows no delamination of catalyst adhering layer from non-conductive base material, no dissolution of catalyst adhering layer into a plating solution, and no discoloration of interface of plate layer with catalyst adhering layer during the catalyst adhering step, development step and other steps. The material includes a non-conductive base material and a catalyst adhering layer, provided on the non-conductive base and including a water-insoluble polyester resin The catalyst adhering layer shows a contact angle of 60° or smaller to purified water.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to methods of treating a human for a variety of conditions by administering an agonist of the G protein coupled receptor TGR5. In addition, the invention includes methods for determining whether a test compound is likely to be effective in treating one of these conditions by assaying it for its ability to raise intracellular iodothyronine deiodinase levels or for its ability to bind to and activate TGR5.
Abstract:
This invention provides screening methods for agents effective in treating insulin resistance through specific inhibition of S6 kinase 1 activity. Also provided are methods of treating insulin resistance by administering an effective amount of an inhibitor specific for S6 kinase 1.
Abstract:
A conference apparatus has a memory to store information relating to devices and their owners, and determines a device owned by each participant based on the information stored in the memory. The conference apparatus notifies an interface apparatus the devices owned by each participant and the devices upon which the conference apparatus determines whether to allow participants to participate in a conference; the interface apparatus sends a permission to participate in the conference to a device owned by each participant and transfers to the conference apparatus a conference participation request received from each device upon which the conference apparatus determines whether to allow the corresponding participant to participate in the conference.
Abstract:
An automotive childproof safety lock control apparatus including a door latch which can hold a door of a vehicle in a closed position, a childproof safety lock unit which can be displaced to an unlocking state where the release of the door latch from a latching state is enabled by controlling an inner handle provided inside of the vehicle to open the door and a locking state where the release of the door latch from the latching state is disabled, and a drive unit which is linked to the childproof safety lock unit and the door latch so as to displace the childproof safety lock unit from the locking state to the unlocking state and release the door latch from the latching state when activated in one direction and to displace the childproof safety lock unit from the unlocking state to the locking state when activated in the other direction.
Abstract:
A serial interface circuit includes a first circuit disposed in the core portion and connected to the CPU, and a second circuit disposed in the peripheral circuit and connected to the peripheral registers and the first circuit; the first circuit including mirror registers, shift registers, in the write operation, serially outputting write data to the second circuit, and in the read operation, serially receiving read data supplied from the second circuit, and a first control block, in the read operation, generating a timing signal for writing the read data held in the shift registers into the corresponding mirror registers; the second circuit including shift registers and a second control block generating a second timing signal for either writing the write data held in the second shift register into the corresponding peripheral register or outputting data held in the peripheral register to the second shift register.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object to establish a wireless communication between wireless communication devices and to provide a desired service without any troublesome setup operations. To this end, a digital camera and printer of this invention have wireless communication functions. When it is determined that a wireless communication instruction is issued by a console of the digital camera, a beacon from a network is detected. Upon detection of the beacon, search request information used to confirm the presence of a wireless communication processing device on a network identified by network identification information included in the beacon is transmitted in accordance with that network identification information. If response information to this transmitted request information is detected, identification information of a partner wireless communication device included in the response information is stored, and is displayed to allow the user to select a connection target device.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object to set a one-to-one relationship upon establishing a wireless communication channel between a wireless communication device on the information transmitting side and a wireless communication device that receives and processes the information even in an environment including a plurality of wireless communication devices, and to assure simple user's operations at least until the communication channel is established. To this end, when the user inputs a wireless communication channel establishment instruction to both a digital camera and printer having wireless communication channel establishment instruction to both a digital camera and printer having wireless communication functions, these devices execute wireless communication establishment processes within an allowable time period which is specified by a time set in a timer and a retry count. When the devices can seize each other within that time period, the communication channel is established. After that, the digital camera sends a sensed image to the printer, which prints the sensed image.
Abstract:
An unbalanced-balanced multiband filter module comprising three high-frequency switches each comprising a switching element, and two unbalanced-balanced bandpass filters having different transmitting frequency bands, a first high-frequency switch being connected to an unbalanced port of the module, an unbalanced port of the first unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter, and an unbalanced port of the second unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter; a second high-frequency switch being connected to a first balanced port of the module, a first balanced port of the first unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter, and a first balanced port of the second unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter; a third high-frequency switch being connected to a second balanced port of the module, a second balanced port of the first unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter, and a second balanced port of the second unbalanced-balanced bandpass filter; and the first to third high-frequency switches being switched depending on a passing high-frequency signal, whereby a high-frequency signal input into an unbalanced port of the module is output from the first and second balanced ports, or a high-frequency signal input into the first and second balanced ports is output from an unbalanced port of the module.
Abstract:
Parameters relating to wireless communication in a wireless network system are set in a printer, which is to be wirelessly connected to the network system anew, from a personal computer that is already wirelessly connected, and the personal computer acquires identification information of the printer and transmits this identification information to an access point. The access point sets up the connection to the printer based upon the identification information that has been transmitted from the personal computer. This makes it possible to connect a new wireless communication apparatus to a wireless network system through a simple set-up operation.
