Abstract: This blood pressure measuring device includes: first and second electrodes which contact the body surface near an artery; an electrocardiogram measuring means which measures a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode and obtains a first time at which at least a prescribed portion is generated in an electrocardiogram; a pulse wave detecting means which detects pulse wave information from the body surface near the artery; a pulse wave measuring means which obtains, from the pulse wave information, a second time at which a prescribed portion is generated in the pulse wave; and a blood pressure estimating means which calculates a pulse wave propagation time from the first time and the second time, and calculates an estimated blood pressure on the basis of a relationship between the pulse wave propagation time, a predefined pulse wave propagation time, and a blood pressure value.

Abstract: A light measurement device that maintains high measurement precision. The light measurement device includes: light source that irradiates light upon measurement object; branch part that splits transmitted light or reflected light from measurement object; phase-changing unit that changes the phase of one beam of the branched light beams; phase-fixing unit that maintains the phase of the other beam of the branched light beams; adjustment mechanism, which is provided in phase-changing unit or phase-fixing unit, for adjusting the propagation direction of light; multiplexer that causes the light emitted by each of phase-changing unit and phase-fixing unit to interfere with each other; detection unit that detects light that is interfered with by multiplexer; and control unit that controls the adjustment mechanism on the basis of the luminance values of an interference image that is detected by detection unit and adjusts the propagation direction of light in phase-changing unit or phase-fixing unit.

Abstract: [Object] To obtain interference light having a stronger light intensity, and to more accurately measure a refractive index of a measured object, with a simplified configuration.[Solution Means] A light measurement device 100 includes a phase adjustment unit 120 and a detector 140. The phase adjustment unit 120 outputs reference light E(R) based on object light E1 being light to be obtained by transmission or reflection of light E from a light source with respect to a measured object 200, and signal light E(S) whose phase is adjusted to be different from a phase of signal light. The detector 140 derives a transmission or reflection light intensity distribution or a refractive index of the measured object 200, based on interference light E2 between signal light E(S) and reference light E(R) to be output by the phase adjustment unit 120. An optical axis of light E from a light source is linearly disposed. The phase adjustment unit 120 and the detector 140 are disposed on the optical axis of light E from a light source.

Abstract: For the purpose of determining blood pressure with high precision, a blood pressure determination device of the present invention includes: pulse wave calculating means that calculates, on the basis of a pressure signal in a specific time period and of a pulse wave signal measured in the specific time period due to pressure related to the pressure signal, a plurality of timings at which the pulse wave signal satisfies a predetermined condition, a time period that represents a difference between the timings, and a pressure value of the pressure signal in the time period, and calculates pulse wave information that associates the time period with the pressure value; data extracting means that extracts a specific data range from the pulse wave information on the basis of an arterial viscoelasticity indicator; and blood pressure determining means that determines diastolic blood pressure on the basis of a correspondence relationship between a pressure value and a time period within the data range.
