摘要： A travel sensor (10) is proposed which has a insertion body (11) consisting of non-ferromagnetic material with good conductive properties. The insertion body (11) is submerged into a measuring coil (15) through which alternating current flows. In addition, the travel sensor is enveloped by a shielding sleeve (16) consisting of ferromagnetic material. Due to the alternating effect between the magnetic field of the coil (15), through which an alternating current flows, and the two materials, at designated frequencies of the alternating current and the respective volume of the insertion body (11) or the shielding sleeve (16), it is possible to compensate the effects of the temperature in such a way that at varying temperatures the measuring curves of the travel sensor (10) extend nearly parallel across the entire measuring range.

摘要： Polymeric materials (I) are obtainable by reacting1. a polymer II comprisinga) from 80 to almost 100 mol % of a C.sub.1 -C.sub.25 -alkyl ester of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid,b) from 0 to 20 mol % of a further monomer,c) tetrahydrofuran hydroperoxide as polymerization initiator and, if required,d) a further polymerization initiator and/or regulator by means of which the majority of the polymer chains of the polymer II are terminated at one of their ends by a hydroxyl group,2. with a polyfunctional isocyanate III to give a reaction product IV, the amount of isocyanate groups being from 1.2 to 3.0 mol per mol of hydroxyl groups of II, and3. reacting IV with ammonia or with a compound V which has an amino function reactive toward isocyanates.The polymeric materials can be used as dispersing resins for pigment-containing coatings, in particular for the production of magnetic recording materials.

摘要： A diffuser for introducing gas in bubbles into liquid held in an aeration tank comprising a body member having a backing surface and passaging extending from a gas inlet to an outlet at the backing surface, and a flexible, gas permeable membrane covering the backing surface and secured at its periphery to the body member in sealing relationship thereto. The membrane is adapted to distend and move away from the backing surface upon delivery of gas under pressure to diffuser, with the gas flowing through the distended portion of the membrane and into the liquid in the form of relatively small gas bubbles, and adapted to collapse into engagement with the backing surface when gas under pressure is not delivered to the diffuser. A check valve comprising a movable valve member on the membrane and a valve seat on the backing surface enables flow of gas into the space between backing surface and the membrane, and blocks flow of liquid into the passaging in the body member.
