摘要: The present invention relates to a curable composition for an optical material, containing (A) 100 parts by mass of a radical polymerizable monomer, (B) 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of an ultraviolet absorber composed of a benzotriazole compound having a specific structure, which has a maximum absorption wavelength of 360 nm or more and less than 380 nm and an absolute value of the difference in solubility parameter (SP value) from the radical polymerizable monomer (A) of 5.5 (cal/cm3)1/2 or less, (C) 1 to 5 parts by mass of an ultraviolet absorber which is at least one selected from a benzotriazole compound, a benzophenone compound and a triazine compound and has a maximum absorption wavelength of less than 360 nm, and (D) 0.05 to 0.5 parts by mass of a radical polymerization initiator. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a curable composition for an optical material which has an ability to cut ultraviolet rays and blue light and can be suitably used as a coating material having good storage stability and weather resistance.

A polyester polyol of the present invention is represented by Formula (1) and has a molecular weight distribution of less than 1.2: In Formula (1), R1 and R2 represent, identically or differently a divalent hydrocarbon group, and n is an integer. R3 to R7 represent, identically or differently a hydrogen atom, a monovalent hydrocarbon group, or a group represented by Formula (2): In Formula (2), m and s represent, identically or differently an integer of 1 or greater. 2m occurrences of R8 represent, identically or differently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group. Note that at least two of the groups represented by R3 to R7 are represented by Formula (2):-

(I) 100 parts by mass of an end-unreactive urethane urea resin; and
(III) 4.0 to 20 parts by mass of a polyisocyanate compound having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule, wherein the polyisocyanate compound (III) contains (IIIA) a polyisocyanate compound having an isocyanate group bonded to secondary carbon and (IIIB) a polyisocyanate compound having 4 to 30 carbon atoms in the molecule other than the component (IIIA), and the amount of the component (IIIB) is 10 to 500 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the component (IIIA).-

摘要: A rigid polyurethane foam formulation comprising a polyol composition comprising, by weight based on the weight of the polyol composition, more than 70% of at least one polyester polyol having an average hydroxyl number of from 150 to less than 300 mg KOH/g and an average functionality of at least 2; a blowing agent comprising water and an auxiliary blowing agent; a silicone copolymer surfactant; from 1% to 5% by weight based on the weight of the polyol composition, of a cyclic siloxane having a surface tension less than 21 dynes/cm at 25° C., wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic siloxane to the silicone copolymer surfactant is from 0.6 to less than 2.27; a catalyst, and optionally a flame retardant; and a polyisocyanate; such that the isocyanate index is in the range of from 180 to 500; a rigid polyurethane foam formed from the foam formulation; and a method of forming a rigid polyurethane foam.

摘要: Compositions and methods are described for polyurethanes with mechanical properties rivalling that of the highest performing commercially available elastomer materials by employing copolymers of a poly(farnesene) diol and ε-caprolactone as the polyol component. Poly(farnesene) diols are produced from biobased monomers and such copolymerization allows incorporation of renewable material in high performance polyurethane materials.
