    摘要: To address needs of journalists and other editors, an audiovisual editing system associates segments of audiovisual materials with segments of related text. The editing system permits an editor to edit both the audiovisual materials of the segments and to edit the related text. The data structure representing the story includes a list of media segments and a list a text segments and a correspondence among the segments. Each media segment has a type, such as script, SOT and voice, and includes a list of video clips. These data structures enable the editing system to provide a simple and intuitive interface for editing a story, and can be transformed in a straightforward manner into a conventional, multitrack sequence used to represent an audiovisual composition. The editing system automatically defines parameters, such as designating the correct audio tracks, which minimize the chance for errors and speeds the workflow. Automatic ducking of these tracks also can be provided. For media segments with associated script in a corresponding text segment, an estimated time for reading the related script aloud by the newscaster may be determined. This estimated time for reading the text related a script segment may be compared to the actual duration of the audiovisual material of the script segment. The difference in the duration of the audiovisual material and the duration of the related text may be displayed to the editor, ma king it easier for the editor to match video to a script. Similarly, the duration of voice and SOT clips can be compared to the duration of video clips in a media segment. The difference in the duration of the video clips and the voice and SOT clips may be displayed to the editor, making it easier for the editor to match the video to the audio. Stories can be stored as text documents in a markup language. Data representing the audiovisual segments can be embedded in these stories. The editing system also may be interconnected through a computer network in a newsroom to a variety of other systems including an asset management system, shared storage for media and a story database. By having the editing system store stories in the story database and sequences in the asset management system, both sequences and stories are made available to other editing systems.

    摘要: A variable lift deactivateable valvetrain system for an engine is provided. The system includes a camshaft, a rocker shaft, a valve and at least one rocker arm rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and arranged to engage the camshaft. A connecting rocker arm is rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and is in constant engagement with the valve. The connecting rocker arm is arranged to operate in selective engagement with the at least one rocker arm to provide a variable lift deactivateable valvetrain configuration. The system further includes a low lift rocker arm having a low lift pin assembly and a high lift rocker arm having a high lift pin assembly. The low and high lift pin assemblies are arranged to selectively engage the connecting rocker arm responsive to oil pressure selectively directed to the low and high lift pin assemblies.

    摘要: A method of making crystals includes suspending a porous preform made of a crystal raw material in a hermetically-sealed chamber, heating the porous preform to a selected treatment temperature that enables reaction between a fluorinating agent and oxide impurities in the porous preform and reacting the fluorinating agent with the oxide impurities at the selected treatment temperature for a selected time period, filling a crucible in the hermetically-sealed chamber with a melt formed from at least a portion of the porous preform, and progressively moving the melt through a temperature gradient zone defined inside the hermetically-sealed chamber. An apparatus for making crystals includes a hermetically-sealed muffle furnace made of a non-porous refractory material, at least one port for entry and exit of gaseous substance within the muffle furnace, at least two temperature-controlled zones defined inside the muffle furnace, a crystal growth crucible disposed inside the muffle furnace, an actuator operable to translate the crucible along a length of the muffle furnace, and means for suspending a preform inside the muffle furnace.

The inner liner is made of a liquid and gas impermeable material, in which the inner liner defines an interior space and includes a fillable opening through which the biomass is loaded and also includes a two-way sealable spring valve, which allows the controlled passage of gases into and/or out of the interior space, allowing the biomass contained therein to be surrounded only by inert gas, such as nitrogen for up to several months. Containing biomass within the disclosed flexible packaging system maintains the moisture content of the biomass and also prevents the cannabinoid levels from degrading over time.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for improving the accuracy of phase spacing of multiphase clocks. In one example, method includes receiving a reference clock having a first frequency and sampling the reference clock with a plurality of multiphase clocks having a second frequency to generate a plurality of samples. The second frequency is a non-integer multiple of the first frequency. The method also includes detecting transitions of the reference clock occurring between the samples generated from a plurality of pairs of the multiphase clocks and counting the transitions to generate a transition count for each pair of the multiphase clocks. The method also includes summing a set of the transition counts to generate a measured phase for a first multiphase clock, calculating a reference phase for the first multiphase clock, and generating a phase skew value for the first multiphase clock based on the measured phase and the reference phase.
