    摘要: An isolation container designed for use with a downhole electric pump assembly commonly used in oil and gas drilling and production operations is disclosed. The isolation container has an annular housing with an axial inlet and outlet bore. A downhole electric pump assembly is centrally located within the pressure isolation container. The downhole electric pump assembly includes an electric pump positioned above and coupled to a motor seal section which is positioned above and coupled to a centrifugal pump, thereby providing a means to power the centrifugal pump. A blind coupling is positioned above the electric motor with a tubular member connected thereto and extending through the inlet of the isolation container. The tubular member connects to a tubing string supplying fluid from the surface. The blind coupling has a plurality of radially disposed ports to allow pressurized fluid from the surface to flow into the annulus between the downhole electric pump and the isolation container. This fluid then flows to inlet ports on the downhole electric pump. The pressure of the pressurized fluid is then boosted or increased by the operation of the downhole electric pump. The fluid is then discharged through a tubular member, which is sealed in the outlet bore of the pressure isolation container. The tubular member extends through a packer positioned below the pressure isolation container and the boosted pressure fluid is injected into the subsurface formation. An electrical cable from the surface supplies power to the electric motor and a check valve is provided on the upper end of the pressure isolation container for releasing entrained air in the pressure isolation container.

The conduit is in communication with a pressure sensing line that is selectively exposable to areas of the conduit having different pressures. By exposing the pressure sensing line to a portion of the conduit having a predetermined pressure therein, the pressure sensing line causes actuation of a hydraulic tool therebelow.

    摘要: A vent subassembly includes a vent body having an opening which is covered or uncovered dependent upon the location of a vent sleeve relative to the vent body. The vent subassembly can be connected below a packer, and the vent sleeve can be connected to a perforator so that movement of the vent sleeve is concurrently communicated to the perforator, such as for initiating the firing of the perforator. The vent sleeve is moved by an actuator subassembly, which is to be connected above the packer if the vent and actuator subassemblies are used with a packer. The actuator subassembly has a piston housing, a piston slidably disposed in the piston housing, and a connector string extending from the piston to the vent sleeve. The piston is responsive to a differential pressure existing between the annulus outside the actuator subassembly and an interior pressure within the actuator subassembly.

    摘要: A system for perforating a well with an annulus pressure firer is provided by the present invention. A pressure responsive means is positioned in a tubing string uphole a packer and includes a piston movable in response to a pressure differential between the upper annulus pressure and the pressure inside the tubing string. The movement of the piston is transferred through a second, concentric tubing string to a firing head on a perforating gun below the packer. The system includes a means for simultaneously decoupling the concentric tubing strings below the packer to drop the perforating gun to the bottom of the well.

    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus that permits sections of tubulars to be connected to or disconnected from a string of pipe during a drilling operation. The apparatus further permits the sections of drill pipe to be rotated and to be axially translated during the connection or disconnection process. The apparatus further allows for the continuous circulation of fluid to and through the tubular string during the makeup or breakout process. The apparatus defines a rig assembly comprising a top drive mechanism, a rotary drive mechanism, and a fluid circulating device. Rotation and axial movement of the tubular string is alternately provided by the top drive and the rotary drive. Additionally, continuous fluid flow into the tubular string is provided through the circulation device and alternately through the tubular section once a connection is made between an upper tubular connected to the top drive mechanism and the tubular string.
