摘要: A device for degenerating a fibroid comprises a receptacle sized and shaped so as to receive a uterine artery therein and a vacuum source connected to the receptacle. The vacuum source is capable of creating a vacuum sufficient to draw a uterine artery into the receptacle, and to fold it in a manner that substantially obstructs blood flow therethrough. In a method of degenerating a fibroid, the aforesaid device is placed near a uterine artery, and a vacuum is applied to draw the uterine artery into the receptacle so that the uterine artery folds shut, thereby obstructing blood flow through the artery. The vacuum is applied for a time that is sufficient to degrade or kill the fibroid, after which the vacuum is released.

摘要: A delay-locked loop (DLL) of an integrated circuit (IC) with testing circuitry and a method for testing a DLL. During test mode, a phase comparator of the DLL receives a test clock in place of the reference clock and determines the phase difference between the test clock and the clock fed back to the DLL from a clock buffer tree. A variable delay element of the DLL then shifts the reference clock in time by an amount that depends on that phase difference. The variable delay element can be exercised by varying the phase of the test clock with respect to the reference clock by a known phase offset to cause the variable delay element to produce a range of delays. Whether the variable delay element is functioning properly can be determined by checking whether the phase of the test clock is aligned with the phase of the feedback clock.

摘要: A device for connecting a fan to the inlet of a face mask filter including an adapter having resilient arms to fasten it to the filter and an air duct extends from the fan outlet to the filter inlet. The adapter has an internal seal to connect the outlet end of the air duct to the inlet of the filter. A housing for the fan is partly molded directly on the adapter adjacent to the inlet end of the air duct. The air duct is short and straight and has low flow resistance.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for representing a virtual object in a real environment, having the following steps: generating a two-dimensional representation of a real environment by means of a recording device, ascertaining a position of the recording device relative to at least one component of the real environment, segmenting at least one area of the real environment in the two-dimensional image on the basis of non-manually generated 3D information for identifying at least one segment of the real environment in distinction to a remaining part of the real environment while supplying corresponding segmentation data, and merging the two-dimensional image of the real environment with the virtual object or, by means of an optical, semitransparent element, directly with reality with consideration of the segmentation data. The invention permits any collisions of virtual objects with real objects that occur upon merging with a real environment to be represented in a way largely close to reality.
