    摘要: A multi-resolution codebook is used to provide quantization for channel related information in a wireless network that supports both single-user MIMO and multi-user MIMO. The multi-resolution codebook may include a higher resolution “fine” codebook for use with MU-MIMO subscriber stations and a lower resolution “coarse” codebook for use with SU-MIMO subscriber stations. A tracking codebook may also be used to provide quantization for updates to channel related information. In at least one embodiment, the tracking codebook includes a number of unit vectors (or orthogonal matrices) disposed upon a sphere cap.

    摘要: A segmented component for use with a gas turbine engine comprises a radially extending gas path portion. The gas path portion is for interacting with gas flow from the gas turbine engine. The component is divided into axially aligned segments comprising a forward segment, an aft segment, and a plurality of middle segments disposed between the forward segment and the aft segment. The middle segments comprise radially elongate ceramic matrix composite material plates. In one embodiment, the gas path portion comprises an airfoil for a turbine blade. In another embodiment, the gas path portion comprises a removable platform for a turbine blade. In another embodiment, the gas path portion comprises an airfoil for a turbine vane.

    摘要: System and method are disclosed for synchronization of a transmitting device and a receiving device that communicate with each other via pulse modulation. The synchronization technique entails the transmitting device sending one or more quasi-periodic pulse sequences to the receiving device. A quasi-periodic pulse sequence is based on a substantially periodic pulse sequence, and may include some non-periodic pulses or not include some periodic pulses. The transmitting device may transmit frames each including a preamble that comprises one or more quasi-periodic pulse sequences, and a data payload that may comprise data. The receiving device receives the signal, generates samples of the signal, and detects the quasi-periodic pulse sequences in the received signal by analyzing samples based on a sample associated with a pulse and the period associated with the substantially periodic pulse sequence. The receiving device is further able to detect frames based on the detection of the sequence, and extract data therefrom.

In one embodiment, downlink channel prediction is performed within a user device, in a system employing closed loop MIMO with implicit feedback, to reduce the occurrence of errors during the calculation of a calibration parameter within an associated base station. In another embodiment, channel prediction is used to predict a downlink channel state for a user device at a future time when a multi-user MIMO data transfer is to occur between a base station and a number of selected user devices.

    摘要: A method that involves matching the trend of process outcome with the trend of process variables to identify the variables that have an impact on the process outcome is disclosed. The method for process trend matching comprises processing of raw data of process outcome and of process variables using an outlier filtering method, smoothing these data using common smoothing algorithm like Kernel, dividing smoothed raw data equally into time intervals, computing the gradients of the points at both ends of the time intervals, and translating the gradients into a scale based on the magnitude of the gradients. The following steps comprise comparing the process outcome and each process variable independently for same time frame, and assigning a score for both outcome and variable. The sum of the scores is then computed which is used to determine the quality of fit. A real-time monitoring system is then set up to monitor these variables for any drifts. When a drift is detected, troubleshooting activity will be triggered and actions taken to resolve the drift, after which monitoring of the variable will be restarted.
