Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may receive template information that identifies a template for generating a plurality of uniform resource identifiers (URIs) for accessing media content. The apparatus may generate, based on the template, one or more URIs of the plurality of URIs for accessing one or more portions of the media content. The apparatus may store the one or more URIs in a playlist file.
Abstract:
Embodiment systems, methods, and devices enable data streams of a broadcast service to be carried in multiple communication sessions in any transport protocol providing file transport information and the transmission of objects, an example of which is File Delivery Over Unidirectional Transport (“FLUTE”). A session description may include a category attribute indicating the type of data carried in such a protocol session. A schedule fragment may include references to a session description for each such protocol session associated with a service. A common listing of configuration parameters may be generated for all such protocol sessions associated with a service. A different listing of configuration parameters may be generated for each such protocol session associated with a service. A flag setting in a diary file may indicate one or more such protocol session associated with a service over which in-band update fragments may be broadcast.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments enable objects associated with a service available in a MBMS network to be delivered through more than one delivery method or context. In various embodiments, an application service document may map objects of a service to their respective delivery methods or contexts. In an embodiment, an application service document may also identify service area restrictions applicable to an object. In an embodiment, an application service document may further identify group restrictions applicable to an object. In a further embodiment, the application service document may identify identical and alternative objects that are available.

Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments enable HTTP servers, such as HTTP servers providing segments to DASH clients according to the various embodiments, to pass incomplete versions of segments in response to segment requests from the DASH clients. The various embodiments may enable clients, such as DASH clients, to parse incomplete versions of segments.

Abstract:
Techniques are provided for smooth transition between broadcast/multicast transmission and unicast transmission. A method for managing unicast and multicast services switching in a multi-band/multi-frequency wireless communications system (WCS) capable of both unicast and multicast signaling includes determining whether an aggregate demand for a content provided via dedicated unicast transmissions exceeds a threshold. The method includes switching transmission of the content from the dedicated unicast transmissions on one frequency to a multicast transmission on a second or more frequencies in response to determining that the aggregate demand exceeds the threshold.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, via a first subscriber service, at least one protocol data unit (PDU) session. The UE may receive a first internet protocol (IP) address associated with the first subscriber service. The UE may register the first subscriber service with an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network using the first IP address. The UE may register a second subscriber service with the IMS network using a second IP address, wherein the second subscriber service uses the at least one PDU session of the first subscriber service. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects include methods for supporting handover of a Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) (VoIP) call, such as a Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) call, with a user equipment (UE). Various aspects may enable VoWi-Fi call handover from support via an evolved Packet Data Gateway (ePDG) to support via Long Term Evolution (LTE) when Voice over New Radio (NR) (VoNR) is not supported by a User Equipment (UE) computing device and/or a fifth generation (5G) standalone (SA) (5G SA) network in which the UE is located.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments enable efficient broadcast service acquisition by ROM computing devices. In various embodiments, the Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) Service Identifiers (IDs) for broadcast services intended for use by receive-only mode (ROM) computing devices may be divided into ranges by broadcast service type.
