Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. For example, a UE may transmit a radio capability identifier to a network entity. In some examples, the radio capability identifier may indicate a set of radio capabilities of the UE. In response to receiving the radio capability identifier, the network entity may determine feedback indicating whether the set of radio capabilities indicated by the radio capability identifier satisfy a respective radio capabilities of a radio capability profile for an application associated with the UE. The network entity may transmit the determined feedback to the UE and, in response, the UE may establish a session for the application associated with the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for measuring data packet delays in an end-to-end communication path according to some embodiments may include transmitting from a first computing device to a second computing device first delay measurement information in a first packet with a header portion configured to indicate that the first packet is a data packet, receiving from the second computing device second delay measurement information in a second packet with a header portion configured to indicate that the second packet is a data packet, determining a data packet delay between the first computing device and the second computing device based on transmit timing information of the first packet and receive timing information of the second packet, and using the determined packet delay to set a quality of service for a communication path between the first computing device and the second computing device.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium of wireless communication for backhaul transport of non-F1 traffic between an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node and a. IAB-donor-central unit (CU). The IAB-node may have a connection with the IAB-donor-CU. The IAB-node may provide the IAB-donor-CU with an indication of a non-F1 type of traffic for backhauling between the IAB-node and the IAB-donor-central unit. The IAB-node may receive, from the IAB-donor-CU, a configuration that maps the non-F1 type of traffic to an uplink transport channel at the IAB-node. The IAB-node may transmit uplink non-F1 traffic to the IAB-donor-CU over the uplink transport channel based on the configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine whether a geographic location code associated with a geographic location of the UE matches a geographic location code in a received message. Based on the determination, the UE may select a non-public network (NPN) function. Additionally or alternatively, a UE may discover or select an NPN function based on determining that legal requirements, such as one or more interception conditions, are independent of the geographic location of the UE. For example, the UE may discover and one or more NPN functions according to a query performed using an NPN function identifier or an NPN identifier. The UE may determine that the NPN function selection (e.g., for a geographic location of the UE) is independent of an interception condition (e.g., associated with the geographic location of the UE).

Abstract: Enabling Ethernet Header Compression (EHC) for use with data sent within a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) control plane of a wireless communication network. In one aspect, a wireless communication device sends a signal to a wireless communication network indicating the device supports EHC for data transfer over a control plane. The device obtains a response from the wireless communication network indicating the wireless communication network supports EHC for data transfer over the control plane. The device then sends an Ethernet packet compressed using EHC to the wireless communication network over the control plane. The wireless communication device may be configured to send a request to the wireless communication network to use EHC before sending the Ethernet packet compressed using EHC. The device then sends the compressed Ethernet packet only if the request is granted. In another aspects, complementary EHC features are provided within a network component of the wireless communication network.

Abstract: A mobile relay generates a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB) for the mobile relay using at least one of a primary synchronization signal (PSS) for mobile relays that is different than a stationary base station PSS, a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) for mobile relays that is different than a stationary base station SSS, a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) that is different than a stationary base station PBCH, or a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) associated with the PBCH that is different than a stationary base station DMRS. After generating the SSB, the mobile relay broadcasts the SSB. A UE receiving the SSB determines that the SSB is from a mobile relay based, at least in part, on information comprised in the SSB.
