摘要: An improved evaporative fuel-purging control system for controlling a purging flow rate which is controlled by a solenoid purge control valve regulated with a pulse waveform signal. As for the characteristic of the purge control valve, differing periods of the signal differentiates the control valve linearity of purging flow rate with respect to the signal duty ratio. To improve the linearity, the pulse waveform signal period which creates the substantial linearity is selected among preset periods periods according to the preset duty ratio which works as a threshold value.

摘要: A tape recorder of the present invention comprises a pair of feed and take-up spools for winding a tape as recording media, a rotatable drum rotated to wind and run the tape between the pair of spools over the drum surface helically, a head for recording, reproducing or erasing signals on the tape wound over said drum surface, and control means for controlling the relative positional relationship between the head and the tape wound over the drum surface based on an error signal such that said signals are stably recorded, reproduced or erased along a desired track, the control means having means for holding the error signal during the period in which the tape is discontinued over a drum surface. The value of the error signal at the time immediately before the tape disappears from the drum surface, or the value of the error signal at the time immediately after the tape reappears over the drum surface during the preceding rotation of the drum is used as the error signal to be held, thereby allowing to stably restart the positioning control when the tape reappears over the drum surface.

摘要: In optically coupling a plurality of light sources to an optical system for focusing light beams from the light sources into spots on a record plane, a center axis of a light beam from a first one of the light sources is aligned to an optical axis of the focusing optical system, and the spots other than a first spot formed by the light beam from the first light source are rotated around the first spot on the record plane to position the spots to the respective target tracks, and a tracking error signal for at least one of the first spot and another spot is detected and the positions of the plurality of spots are integrally controlled based on the detected tracking error signal so that the plurality of spots can follow the respective target tracks. The target tracks to which the spots are to be positioned may be either one track or different tracks. The positioning of the spots to the target tracks may be done either manually or automatically. In the automatic method, a tracking error signal is detected for the first spot, and a deflection mechanism for radially swinging beams from the laser light sources is controlled to control the positions of the spots on the record plane and to cause the first spot to follow the target track.

摘要: Disclosed is an internal-combustion engine controller capable of improving emission characteristics at a start of an internal-combustion engine. When injection during an exhaust stroke is controlled in a port-injection engine, the engine controller ECU performs the first fuel injection during t1 to t2 according to a memory-based crank angle as illustrated in FIG. 12(b) at a fuel injection timing before determination of an actual stroke. Thus, the injected fuel has been introduced into a cylinder during the actual stroke. If fuel is not injected during t1N to t3N within the next exhaust stroke as denoted by the solid line, this causes misfire in the cylinder, so that the engine rotation at the start cannot be smooth. Thus, the ECU clears a finished fuel injection flag (F_INJ) at an incorrect crank angle storage determination timing (tJUD) as denoted by the dashed-dotted line, thereby capable of controlling the fuel injection.

摘要: A suction cup includes a suction cup main body, an attachment surface and a gel layer. The surface of the gel layer serves as a suction surface. In a method of manufacturing a suction cup, a cavity is formed in the inside of a common mold and a primary mold. Next, a synthetic resin material is injected into the cavity, to mold the suction cup main body. Subsequently, the primary mold is opened, to obtain the suction cup main body. Next, a secondary mold is mated to the common mold, whereby a cavity is formed in the inside of the common mold and the secondary mold. Subsequently, a gel is injected into the cavity, to mold the gel layer. Next, the secondary mold is opened, to obtain a suction cup composed of the gel layer and the suction cup main body, on the common mold.

摘要: A memory apparatus having a rewritable nonvolatile memory, and a control circuit. The memory apparatus brings logical addresses into correspondence with physical addresses of the nonvolatile memory and retains a piece of number-of-rewrites information for each logical address. The control circuit can perform a replacement process of a piece of memory information on the nonvolatile memory. In the replacement process, a given logical address judged to have a small number of rewrites based on the number-of-rewrites information is replaced so as to correspond to a different physical address and then data is transferred according to the replacement. Even when data of the logical address smaller in the number of rewrites is assigned to the different physical address, the number of rewrites of the region is still grasped as the number of rewrites of the logical address. The data of the logical address is maintained in a condition such that it can be easily targeted for the rewrite by the replacement process even in the place to which the data is transferred. Thus, a memory cell is made less prone to accumulatively suffering disturb owing to rewrite.

摘要: A method for controlling an amount of electric charge on a finely divided powder. When the finely divided powder is supplied into a powder transportation pipe in a substantially discrete particle state and transported therethrough in a discrete particle state by a stream of a compressed gas having a very small water content whose dew-point is 0.degree. C. or less, electric charge is inevitably produced by friction on the powder by the collision thereof against the inner wall of the transportation pipe. By controlling the dew-point of the compressed gas, the amount of frictional electric charge produced on the powder can be controlled even if there is a change in the type of the finely divided powder, the piping system, the spray nozzle, the type and state of the gas serving as a carrier medium, and environmental conditions such as the atmosphere. Further, a finely divided powder spraying method and apparatus uniformly spray the powder, whose amount of frictional electric charge is controlled as described above, onto a grounded sheet surface in a discrete particle state by means of a two-dimensionally-swinging nozzle.

摘要: The present invention provides a diagnostic system for an internal combustion engine which detects abnormalities of input/output objects used in controlling operation of the engine when the engine is in respective predetermined operating conditions, and carries out respective predetermined fail-safe actions when abnormalities of the input/output are detected. When an abnormality of the input/output objects was detected on the last occasion and has also been detected on the present occasion, and at the same time it is determined that a change in the operating environment of the engine has occurred between when the abnormality was detected on the last occasion and when it has been determined on the present occasion, occurrence of the abnormality is finally determined.
