摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for managing operations for data storage media. An adjustment module interrupts or otherwise adjusts execution of an executing operation on the data storage media. A schedule module executes a pending operation on the data storage media in response to adjusting execution of the executing operation. The pending operation comprises a higher execution priority than the executing operation. The schedule module finishes execution of the executing operation in response to completing execution of the pending operation.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed to improve the utility of solid-state storage media by determining one or more configuration parameters for the solid-state storage media. A media characteristic module references one or more storage media characteristics for a set of storage cells of solid-state storage media. A configuration parameter module determines a configuration parameter for the set of storage cells based on the one or more storage media characteristics. A storage cell configuration module configures the set of storage cells to use the determined configuration parameter.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for storing information in a storage device that includes multi-level memory cells. The method involves storing data that is written to the storage device in the LSBs of the multi-level memory cells, and storing audit data in the MSBs of the multi-level memory cells. The audit data can be read separately from the data and used to determine whether or not there has been any unintended drift between states in the multi-level cells. The audit data may be used to correct data when the errors in the data are too numerous to be corrected using error correction code (ECC). The audit data may also be used to monitor the general health of the storage device. The monitoring process may run as a background process on the storage device. The storage device may transition the multi-level memory cells to operate as single-level memory cells.

摘要: A quick coupler has a frame with a hook, and an operator movable control bar. The hook has a recess for receiving a hitch pin. A latch mechanism includes a latch, a one-piece trigger, a spring, and a stop fixed to the coupler frame. The latch is pivotally coupled to the frame and moves to open and closed positions permitting and preventing the hitch pin to move into and out of the hook recess. The trigger is pivotally coupled only to the latch and to the control bar. The trigger engages the hitch pin and moves the latch to the open position. When the hitch pin is in the hook recess, the stop engages the trigger and prevents the latch from moving to its open position. A central portion of the trigger is pivotally coupled to a central portion of the latch. A shoulder surface is formed in a lower end of the latch, and a tab projects from an end of the trigger. The tab engages the shoulder surface to limit pivoting of the latch to its open position when the trigger engages the stop. A latch spring is mounted on the latch and engages the frame and urges the latch to its closed position.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure include a stand, such as a tripod, including a deployment assembly for adjusting a height of the stand by, for example, adjusting a length of a telescoping tripod leg. In an embodiment, the deployment assembly adjusts the length of the tripod leg when the user actuates a control device, such as a trigger or a button. The control device may advantageously be located near the top of a tripod leg, which may facilitate leveling and/or heightening of the tripod. In addition, the deployment assembly may include a rack and gear assembly that controls relative movement of a lower leg segment with respect to an upper leg segment.

摘要: A method of making an investment or lost foam casting assembly of a first part movable with respect to a second part includes making first and second separate wax or foam patterns of portions of the first part. Then, a third wax or foam pattern of the second part is made. Next, ceramic core pieces are made. At least one of the core pieces is mounted on the first pattern to form a subassembly. The subassembly is combined with the third pattern so that the core pieces maintain a separation between the third pattern and the first pattern. The first and second patterns are bonded together to trap the subassembly and to form a complete casing assembly.

摘要: Whilst commercial jet aircraft are capable of transporting large pay load economically, the same is not true for rockets. To solve this problem, a hybrid propulsion system is proposed for use in Horizontal Take-Off and Land (HOTOL) craft. The purpose is to maximized the use of ambient oxygen and minimize the use of cryogenic oxygen. At the core of the system is a jet engine whose after burner is modified to act as an evaporator. Liquid oxygen is pumped in, vaporized and ducted forward to the air intake through a gate. The gate is designed to control the mix of ambient oxygen and cryogenic oxygen going into the engine. It is also used as a hear shield to protect the engine from reentry temperatres.
