    摘要: For use in a printing press cylinder (1) of the type having in its surface an axial cavity (2) produced for location of a lock-up device for a printing blanket on the cylinder, there is provided an adaptor fillet to adapt the cylinder for accommodation of a printing blanket without a lock-up device, the adaptor fillet comprising a fillet (3) of a shape for insertion into the cavity so as to bridge the cavity flushly with the cylinder surface periphery, said fillet having an arcuately curved bridge surface (10) of the same radius of curvature as that of the cylinder and having in its bridge surface a longitudinal slit (11) for guidance of a knife edge. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fillet is in two-part form, consisting of a lower part (4) securable in the cavity by a threaded fastener entering the cavity base, and an upper part (5) securable to the lower part and providing the arcuately curved bridge surface. The adaptation enables an existing lock-up type printing cylinder to be adapted for non-lock-up securement of a printing blanket without removal of the cylinder form the press, and provides a cylinder surface suitable for application of an adhesive-backed blanket.

    摘要: In accordance with an embodiment of this invention, a combination is provided of a tubular elbow tube and mounting bracket which attaches directly on to the engine to a receiving end component at an entry port opening into the engine. The attachment of the bracket to the engine orients the elbow tube at a precise and reliable direction, thus forming a pathway through which the flexible probe is precisely guided to the desired interior location with minimal manipulation. Attachment of the bracket to a receiving component on the engine permits entry of the probe close to the entry port opening. Thus, the flexible probe requires a minimal amount of contortion or bend to reach the interior destination.

    摘要: An improved data entry and control arrangement for an appliance which includes an electronic display having a plurality of digits. User actuable up and down keys enable the user to adjust the value displayed. The control changes the display by a first amount, for example, one minute for a time display, in response to each momentary actuation of an up or down key. In response to continuous actuation, the control, after initially changing the display by the first amount, then switches the least significant digit of the display to zero and thereafter periodically changes the display by a second amount evenly divisible by ten, such as for example 10 minutes. The preferred update interval between changes is on the order of 0.45 seconds duration. The control also enables the user to change the update interval.
