摘要: A floor plan evaluation method by which a floor plan can be quantitatively evaluated. The floor plan evaluation method includes first extracting a plurality of specified elements, which are specified in advance from data on a floor plan which is made automatically by, e.g., a floor planner, second obtaining an individual evaluation value on each of a plurality of individual evaluation items on the basis of the plurality of specified elements extracted in the first step, and third calculating an integrated evaluation value on the floor plan on the basis of a plurality of individual evaluation values obtained in the second step. Then, a plurality of integrated evaluation values obtained by executing the first to third operations for a plurality of floor plans are compared with one another to relatively evaluate the plurality of floor plans.

摘要: A redundancy detection unit refers to layout data stored in a data storage unit and reflecting completed automatic placement and routing to detect a redundant region in a region having a cell arranged therein. An automatic insertion unit inserts in the detected redundant region a capacitive cell having a capacitive component and free of logic. As such a voltage drop can be reduced in a region scarce of LSI wiring resources. Furthermore, increased wiring capacitance can be provided without increased LSI chip area.

摘要: Positions of the blocks on a semiconductor chip are decided. Then, positions of the block pins are provisionally decided based on the positions of the blocks. Subsequently cells are disposed within the blocks. Finally, the position of a block pin is changed to a position which is, for the block pin under consideration, based on the position of a cell that is to be connected to that block pin, of the cells disposed in the corresponding block.

摘要: Where the output delay of a combinational circuit in a logic circuit is defined by a clock cycle count, data transfer means for outputting data delayed in the same number of clock cycles is inserted in a block of a cycle-based simulator. The data transfer means comprises registers or a combination of registers and selectors. The cycle-based simulator may be further arranged to automatically recognize the output delay of a combinational circuit in a target logic circuit. Data transfer means for effecting an output delay in the recognized number of clock cycles is then automatically inserted in a block of the cycle-based simulator.

摘要: In a sheet discharger with a simple structure, the subsequently discharged sheet can be stored under such a condition that this subsequently discharged sheet is overlapped on the rear surface of the previously discharged sheets. The sheet discharger includes a vertical type sheet discharge tray inclined backwardly along an upper direction; an discharge roller apparatus having a front side discharge roller and a rear side discharge roller, which are arranged at a lower end portion of the vertical type sheet discharge tray. The vertical type sheet discharging tray includes a rear surface supporting member for supporting a rear surface of an discharged sheet, a bottom member for supporting a lower end of the discharged sheet, and a front surface supporting member for defining a forward position of the lower end of the discharged sheet. The bottom member is arranged in front of said discharge roller apparatus, further includes sheet rear end position control means for positioning a rear end of a sheet discharged to the vertical type sheet discharge tray over said bottom member.
