Abstract:
An approach for composing an analytic solution is provided. After associating descriptive schemas with web services and web-based applets, a set of input data sources is enumerated for selection. A desired output type is received. Based on the descriptive schemas that specify required inputs and outputs of the web services and web-based applets, combinations of web services and web-based applets are generated. The generated combinations achieve a result of the desired output type from one of the enumerated input data sources. Each combination is derived from available web services and web-based applets. The combinations include one or more workflows that provide an analytic solution. A workflow whose result satisfies the business objective may be saved. Steps in a workflow may be iteratively refined to generate a workflow whose result satisfies the business objective.
Abstract:
Flavone derivatives, preparative method of the derivatives and use thereof as medicaments for treating diabetes. The structure of the derivatives is presented by formula 1: In the structure, R1 and R2, which are identical or not, represent hydrogen atom, halogen, cyano, hydroxyl, trifluoromethyl, thio-methyl, benzyloxy. C1-C8 linear chain or branch chain alkyl, C1-C8 linear chain or branch chain alkoxy. The pharmacological test indicates that the flavone derivatives can significantly increase the glucose consumption of Hep-G2 cell with insulin resistance activity, promote translocation of glucose transporter 4 of skeletal muscle cells (L6GLUT4myc) at different level, and significantly increase glucose intake and utilization by cells. The test proves the fact for the first time that the flavone derivatives can significantly promote translocation of glucose transporter 4 of skeletal muscle cells, and one of the mechanisms for treating diabetes is activating the cell AMPK phosphorylation and phosphorylating the downstream ACC.
Abstract:
The example techniques of this disclosure are directed to default construction techniques for the construction of a combined reference picture list, and default mapping techniques for the combined reference picture list. In some examples, a video coder may construct first and second reference picture lists from frame number values, and construct the combined reference picture list from the frame number values of the first and second reference picture lists. In some examples, a video coder may construct first and second reference picture lists from picture order count (POC) values, and construct the combined reference picture list from the POC values of the first and second reference picture lists. In some examples, a video coder may construct a combined reference picture list from received information for the construction, and map the pictures of the combined reference picture list to one of a first or second reference picture list.
Abstract:
In one example, a device for retrieving multimedia data, the device comprising one or more processors configured to retrieve data of a first segment of a representation of multimedia content in accordance with data of a copy of a manifest file stored by the device, retrieve a portion of a second segment of the representation in accordance with the manifest file, wherein the second segment occurs after the first segment in the representation, and wherein the portion of the second segment indicates that the manifest file is to be updated, update the copy of the manifest file stored by the device based on the indication that the manifest file is to be updated, and retrieve media data of the second segment in accordance with the updated manifest file.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for systematically analyzing an electronic text are described. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving the electronic text from a plurality of sources. The method also includes determining an at least one term of interest to be identified in the electronic text. The method further includes identifying a plurality of locations within the electronic text including the at least one term of interest. The method also includes for each location within a plurality of locations, creating a snippet from a text segment around the at least one term of interest at the location within the electronic text. The method further includes creating multiple taxonomies for the at least one term of interest from the snippets, wherein the taxonomies include an at least one category. The method also includes determining co-occurrences between the multiple taxonomies to determine associations between categories of a different taxonomies of the multiple taxonomies.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide techniques for improving clarity of disclosure materials provided to investors, by enabling securities issuers, intermediaries and/or other entities to create and disseminate clear and concise summary-level information on individual securities to investors to enable informed investment decisions. The information may include a summary version of the full statutory prospectus (a “summary prospectus”). A summary prospectus may include a concise, “plain English” synopsis and/or representation of certain information contained in the full statutory prospectus, such as a security's investment objectives and strategies, costs, risks and/or other information.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method manages participation in a teleconference. Teleconference inputs from participants of a teleconference are monitored for use of an unrelated term, which is a term that has been deemed unrelated to a topic of the teleconference. Upon determining that an errant participant is using the unrelated term in at least one of the teleconference inputs, an alert is generated to prompt the errant participant to limit future teleconference inputs to the topic of the teleconference.
Abstract:
A wireless power supply system and a self adaptive regulation method thereof. The method includes the following steps: detecting an operating mode of an electric power sending unit (210); judging whether the electric power sending unit coincides with a normal operation condition of the wireless power supply system (200) according to the detected operating mode; determining according to a judging result whether to regulate a main oscillating frequency of an oscillating circuit (213) or not, so as to make the main oscillating frequency of the oscillating circuit be maintained between the resonant frequency of a sending coil (214) and the resonant frequency of a receiving coil (221). The main oscillating frequency of the oscillating circuit is regulated automatically, so as to make the main oscillating frequency be close to the resonant frequency of coils in the electric power sending unit and a receiving unit (220) all the time and make the system maintain a stable power output to ensure the normal operation of the wireless power supply system.
Abstract:
In one example, a video coder, such as a video encoder or a video decoder, is configured to code a first set of one or more depth range values for a first set of video data, wherein the first set of one or more depth range values have respective first precisions, code a second set of one or more depth range values for a second set of video data, wherein the second set of one or more depth range values have respective second precisions different than the respective first precisions, and code at least a portion of the second set of video data using the second set of one or more depth range values. In this manner, the video coder may update precisions (e.g., numbers of bits) used to represent depth range values for coding multiview plus depth video data.
Abstract:
A system and method for encoding a first picture sequence and a second picture sequence into coded pictures, with the first picture sequence and the second picture sequence being different, and with at least one coded picture of the second picture sequence being predicted from at least one picture in the first picture sequence. According to various embodiments of the present invention, signal element is encoded into a coded picture of the second picture sequence. The signal element indicates whether a picture in the first picture sequence is used for prediction of the coded picture of the second picture sequence.
